Disclaimer this didn’t happen on this day.

I find this fascinating, I could watch an hour of this, no problem.

The amount of smoking that takes place (I especially like the fact the guy escorting the interloper off the stage is also in the middle of a cigarette) is only outweighed by the amount of times Marty Feldman calls everyone “love”, particularly an increasingly aggressive Johnny Speight.

I have a vague recollection that I saw that at the time.

replying to an old post, just clicked play and the video looks like its being introduced by the thing in the tank from Dune - times must be tough on Arrakis.

Yep, I knew too. I’ve seen others of him around that age but that one is definitely the one he’d use as his Tinder profile picture.

Would anyone like to share their view on the Suez crisis?

I understand that Eden was forced to resign for misleading Parliament but my view about the rights and wrongs is distorted by my anti-American sentiments.

Based on American interventions in South America when United States' assets were seized, were the British justified in sending in troops after the canal was taken by the Egyptian military?

Would the Americans have held back if the Panama had been seized?

Three great YouTube channels for History fans.

Oversimplified, is very funny

Kings and Generals has a wealth of videos about different battles

History Matters are fun shorts nowadays but lots of random bits of historical knowledge and also funny.

I checked out Kings and Generals and I found the "Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines' type commentary and graphics very amusing.

It wasn't quite what I was looking for but thanks anyway.

I meant Epic History TV one is good as an actual Documentary on it

If you like proper detail. The Great War is an excellent channel. All of the conflicts that happened just after WW1, I knew very little about all of those and it gives more context around the hatreds that were there at start of WW2. Especially Poland and Russia/USSR
