I understand that Eden was forced to resign for misleading Parliament but my view about the rights and wrongs is distorted by my anti-American sentiments. Based on American interventions in South America when United States' assets were seized, were the British justified in sending in troops after the canal was taken by the Egyptian military? All of the conflicts that happened just after WW1, I knew very little about all of those and it gives more context around the hatreds that were there at start of WW2.
