It was mentioned in the press today that Newcastle did want Maclaren but baulked at paying the £2million compensation to get him, guess they are gambling on the players pulling together and getting theb1 win they need. People cannot get their head around how massive NUFC is 2. If we won a trophy you couldn't build a stadium big enough for NUFC 3. We deserve more in fairness you cant argue that it is a big job and just like Villa before Tim came in the same was usually said. Its not really that long ago they were challenging the top 4 and doing well in Champions League the problem is the delusion that the manager has to be one of us attitude they seem to have. Watching them get relegated at VP six years ago was beautiful and it would be equally brilliant to see that shitty club and their stupid **** fans be relegated again. EDIT- Actually seeing MK Dons on tv just then I remember how much I hate that pathetic plastic little club that should never have been allowed. Given all that, I think most fans would have Us, Everton and Newcastle roughly on par.
