I joined in the january transfer window. Feeling really insecure all of a sudden lol

:D

The Rory Delay comments are referring to an old thread in the Other Football section. Months after people had discussed Rory Delay's long throws, a poster said "Have you seen Rory Delay's throws? They're really long!" and included a link to a Youtube clip.

:D

It's in the Hall of Fame somewhere.

Thats class and im glad to be a part of it!  :D

Good to see some players coming in.

More than anything this summer, I want us to sign a creative midfielder. Some wee Spaniard to pick a pass.

We'll probably stick with 4-3-3 in the main, with the front three getting the bulk of the goals, but we really need more from our midfield, and it would be nice to give the opposition something else to worry about.

Think we're going to have to accept we're going to be shafted over the eventual price for Bent.  Live, learn, move on.

If we can sign Tonev, Hellenius & Okore & recoup all the money outlayed for Bent to cover these deals then that would be a really incredible, immense & astute piece of transfer business by PL.

3 for the price of  1  or more realistically 3 for the price of none given Bent's predominant inertia last season.

So who would you drop out of Sylla, Delph and Westwood?

not so much ITK but I know somebody who gets little tit bits, but lamberts signings will be in before the pre season trip to Germany, that is players from the continent anyway. any after that will be lower league pick ups here.

This seems to fit in with what he did with Westwood.  Lower league clubs are probably quoting silly prices at the moment, but towards the end of the window the prices come down.

http://www.clubcall.com/aston-villa/defender-set-for-villa-medical-1598959.html

Aston Villa have agreed a £4million fee with Danish club Nordsjaelland for defender Jores Okore who is travelling over for a medical. Villa have swooped for the 20-year-old centre-back, who appears to have been recommended to the club by former skipper Martin Laursen. The Ivorian-born defender has a handful of caps for Denmark and came off the bench at half-time in their World Cup qualifying defeat to Armenia last night. Danish coach Morten Olsen replaced injured centre back Andreas Bjelland after 45 minutes with his side trailing 2-0, but Okore was unable to stem the flow of goals and they crashed to a 4-0 loss which puts them out of contention for Brazil 2014. Reports in Copenhagen claim Okore was at fault for the third goal.
