sonic_bouma
Moyes is going to loan out Zaha in January. Seeing him float in off the wing or I'm behind Benteke would be nice. He would bring an element of unpredictability to our game.something which we desperately need.

avfc1982
I don't see any point arguing about the manager when the main problem at villa park gets a free ride from the fans. Yep good point. The fans apathy towards Lerner and the disgraceful way he runs the club is quite baffling. These last 3 or 4 years has been nothing less than asset stripping of the squad with barely a peep of protest from the fans. It would be laughable if it wasn't so damn painful.

avfc1982
Was about to ask the question how Everton could afford the wages of two players on such high wages but then i suppose the fee they got for Fellaini would answer it and there's no reason why they couldn't purchase both players at the end of the season. Hopefully when Benteke leaves we'll be in the same position to strengthen? Christ we've sold a ton of talent for top money these last few seasons and still we can't afford the wages of an experience head or two!

Probably because we've also wasted a lot of money on big wages for mediocre players over the past few seasons. Even now we've got one of the highest paid backup keepers in the world. nnock1984
We were crap last season, and the he brought in Sylla and we suddenly started to improve - this season Sylla can't get a look in! Strange management for me!

Tbh the older I get, the more I think most Villa fans like nothing more than a good moan.
pacbuddies
after 9 games people are talking about relegation In your opinion after how many games should people start talking about relegation? Perhaps after the last 3 seasons people can't see the point in waiting around until we have played 15/20/25/30 games and have decided to talk about what usually gets put off by most until even the most claret and blue eyed fan cannot deny. Zatman
christmas would be a realistic time to talk about relegation when you have at least played all the teams Edited October 27, 2013 by Zatman

Given the sides we've faced, I'd prefer if people waited until we'd played a more balanced set of fixtures before having a serious discussion about it. But January would be probably a sensible time for it, if warranted at that stage.

Not having a dig - but are you waiting for time when all players on big wages are making an impact at first team level ? That to me is the hallmark of a small club. There are always some wages you have to carry

Hutton and Given are still on the books too and can't get in. We had an awful lot of shit that wouldn't get into the side currently. But that's not the point. The point is the wages had to come down and it took time to get shot of them.
