maqroll
Bad move, IMO. Umbro IS England, and Nike is shit...

maqroll
I just think Umbro kits are much nicer on the eyes...and have such a strong link with the England team.
The_Rev
Umbro is a subsidiary brand of Nike Not for much longer though. Nike is selling Umbro, but taking all of Umbro's best contracts before it does so. Oh, and an image of the new Nike England kit has already been leaked: It's fairly plain by Nike's recent standards. CI
Still think of England as very much Admiral kit.

PauloBarnesi
Admiral were one of the exceptions; generally Umbro have held the contract for as long as anyone can care to remember. I think a couple of manufacturers have made it post war, but this was in the day when it had almost zero commercial value. Interesting to see that Admiral (another company from the North West) are a shadow of themselves; they do virtually no sportswear, just some retro sports stuff. How the mighty have fallen. I wonder what Bukta and Gola are up to these day?

Stevo985 Posted September 6, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted September 6, 2012 5 years ago I'd have been in favour of this. But Umbro have upped their game recently and their most recent kits have been really nice (not just the England ones)
flamingsombrero
Meh probably time for a change, Umbro can't keep churning out the same PE kit forever.

LondonLax
I hope Umbro don't go under once Nike take their clients and cut them loose. Umbro are proabably my favourite kit designer.
Ingram85
While I like Umbro, it's time for a change Nikes current French kits are superb, hopefully we will get bespoke kits like them rather than stock designs the other countries seem to get. I'd like an all white kit but round necked with an admiral style band across the top of the chest in navy blue and red.
AVFCforever1991
Umbro don't make the greatest kits. Time for a change.
The_Rev
The current Man City shirts are amazing. I'd actually buy one if City were still shit and I wouldn't get mistaken for a glory hunter.
parisvilla
Some of Nike's international kits are fantastic. The French home kit is particularly good.
