Viva have you seen the bottle bars yet? There are no queues for the beer at all! :D They are even considering having some food on these stands too but will see today.

General ,

Noticing that the Serpentine is going to be out of action for cars , wondered if this was a help ?

One of our companies is in close proximity to Villa Park and we have car parking space that probably could take up to 100 plus cars for match days . Quite prepared to allow the Villa if they staff it correctly to use our car park for match days . Who do we need to contact ?

General Krulak here:

1. Car parks: This issue was raised by the Supporters Group at our last meeting...particulary since the Serpentine will be gone. A study of the situation is almost compete and Lee Preece will be discussing this issue over the Villa web site. MYSTERMAN: If you have some parking, please contact Lee Preece at Villa and let him know of the situation.

2. I passed the idea of the multiple beer pullers to Alison and she is looking into the cost/benefit on installing some.

3. There is no plan to re-name the DE stand.

4. Away kit. I will admit, I really like the away kit. I am not sure what the plan is for next year but let me ask. I will ask Richard about the pricing of the child's kit...not sure how the price point was determined.

5. Football schools. Obviously we want to be "world wide" and to do that, you need a presence world-wide. We just aren't there yet. It is where we want to be...but we aren't there yet.

Hi General - I like the away kit too and will be asking for it for Christmas off my dad - Lancsvillan - and as this is my first post on your thread - thanks for posting as often as you do.

Are you watching the game today?

Mr General......no probs in Ramseys at half time, cider-a-plenty! Well done!

My mate has asked me to moan about the Holte Suite though - no draught cider after the game, we had to pay "through the nose" for Magners.

I know its small fry but our main drinking hole pre and post match shouldnt run out of ANY ale should it???

General, a little complaint here.

Today was the first time i sat inside the Trinity upper for about 9 years. The last time i sat there it had yet to be rebuilt.

I dont know if you've seen any old photo's but it was a really nice stand. Not just from the outside with its mural and windows and fancy staircase at one end but also inside had real character and you felt like you were sitting inside somewhere that had real stories to tell.

Sitting in it today i was really disapointed to see how it had been rebuilt. Its like a warehouse. All metal with no charm.

Now i know its not the boards fault and theres no way its going to be rebuilt but is there anyway we can improve on it? There is nothing inside most of it, its really dismal and bland. Is there a way we can help it regain any form of character inside and outside?

Do the club have any plans on improving it?

General had the pleasure of visiting the Holte pub for the 2nd time today. It really has been done well. Just one comment...

First and foremost it is supposed to be a pub but the number of people running around with official badges on seems to out number the poor bar staff by 10 to 1. It took the best part of 20 minutes to get served.

Wouldnt it make sense to have more staff behind the bar?

General, I would like to compliment the work by your staff at todays game. I know it was sad that new staff had to be drafted in to control the inconsiderate smokers but a great job was done all round!

I watched as smokers ignored the alarms in the toilets of the upper Holte and smiled as they were escorted from the ground, they were even confiscating season tickets. I am sure that when people see that you mean business that they will stop. I saw 10 evicted. Well done!!!

Unfortunatly the food again was again an issue with it becoming impossible to get anything to eat unless you miss 10 mins of the first half.

The beer situation is no longer an issue as the bottle bars are a great success!

Dave

General, great win today, will be important at the end of the season I think.

Only one thing that went wrong today, no chicken & mushroom pies in the North Stand again! Tried to get one straight after the half-time whistle, but was told they were out of them.

General,

With the International weekend meaning no Villa game on Saturday, is there any chance that the Academy game against the team from across the city (the piglets?) scheduled for Saturday could be moved to Villa Park.

Otherwise I'll just wander round the house bumping into things or worse still get involved in shopping.

Cheers,

OBE

Hiya General K, I had a wake up call today. I went into Stirling expecting to be able to buy a new Nike Villa shirt in one of the shops, my thinking was that now we are part of the Nike family we would see our shirts became more widely available outside of england. Unfortunately this wasnt the case. In JJB sports and other sports shops in stirling, there were loads of shirts including man u, arsenal, chelsea, newcastle, liverpool but alas no villa.

just shows miracles dont happen overnight

how were the staffs recieved ?

General Krulak here:

1. I want to thank all the fans for the wonderful reception you all gave the soldiers from the Staffordshire Regiment. I can assure you, they have never been treated like that for their service to the UK. Well done to you all!!

2. Smoking. 12 people were ejected from today's game for smoking. 5 season ticket cards are on the desk of our Head of Security. We had two representatives from "Smoke Free Birmingham" visit the grounds yesterday...no report on what they saw or felt. This is a serious issue that does not just concern the staff at Villa Park but the fans as well. We cannot afford a stiff fine because a small, small minority of fans cannot last a couple of hours w/o a smoke.

3. Catering. All of your complaints and comments are being passed directly to Alison and her folks. They are continually working on this issue. Obviously, it is not something that gets sorted overnight. They DO understand and are working on it.

4. Our shirts will become world wide at Nike shops. The kit is being sent out daily.

5. The game. My philosophy is pretty simple. We must win the games we should win. We must win or tie those that the odds would indicate we should lose. We must not give away any points. Today we won and got 3 points. ALL GOOD. Are we where we want to be? NO. Are we getting there? YES. Will we get there? YES!!!!

Hi General. Just wanna report on abit of nonsense concerning catering in the Holte End. Before the game I bought a Balti Pie & a bottle of Carlsberg. Now this falls under the 'combo 5' deal for £5. However, the girl on the till tried to charge me £5.30. When I bought up the discrepancy she told me that you need to ask for the 'combo meal 5' deal when ordering. Surely this shouldn't be the case??

Just thought I'd bring the issue up.

Keep up the good work General - much appreciated :D
