daggy_333
A host of clubs are ready to make a move for Blackpool winger Matt Phillips, Sky Sports understands. The Tangerines look to have a battle on their hands to hang on to their exciting winger as Everton, Wigan, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Reading all weigh up potential bids. The 21-year-old had an outstanding campaign last term for Blackpool scoring seven league goals and was one of the main reasons they made it to the play-off final. Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is desperate to keep hold of his wing stars in Phillips and team-mate Thomas Ince - but he could have a battle on his hands. Everton are reported to be in pole position, but it is understood a number of their Premier League rivals are also very keen on landing the Scotland international. clicky Yes please! Mattyp_avfc
He would be a very good signing, Lambert know's about him from his Wycombe days (iirc). Reminds me of AY minues the theatrics and a bit rougher!

smetrov
Really rate him - We could probably fund this by selling Nzog. Seems a lot of clubs after him though. - I would think Sunderland would be a major competitors.
Villaonsea
sunderland have seb larsson. Maybe if we off delph on season loan as part of the deal? That would really test delph, as holloway plays passing football, and we would have an exciting winger. 4 million?

I know a leeds fan - and the word from up there - is that Delph is riddled with Injuries - and won't be playing many games for anyone, anytime soon.....He was injured for today's game I believe
villan-scott Posted July 14, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted July 14, 2012 I'd love Phillips, a great talent. He's exactly the sort of player I can see us signing, young, hungry and talented. Hope PL can make this happen.
