Richard
3 points off play off. Was under pressure right from the end of last season when they failed to go up. Ken Bates at his best Colin rocket polisher for a swift return to football management IMO
Zatman
not a great manager for them. selling your best players doesnt help that much. Snodgrass be gone next
Rodders
seemed like he did ok for me, though at Leeds there was the inevitable pressure to go back up to the top flight. Makes me realise how long they've been gone from the Premier league!

Rino8 Posted February 1, 2012 Visiting Supporter Share Posted February 1, 2012 Poor decision, IMO. Thought he was pretty good for them.I was at the game last night, Leeds weren't the worse team, it's just that they have a defence of 3 youth players and the other CB is about 25, when that comes up against a 6ft8 striker like Zigic there is going to be problems. He ended up scoring a hat trick with his head. Leeds should be doing a little better, but at the same time Grayson hasn't been allowed to buy anybody whilst his entire team is sold from underneath him. Shame, the Leeds team that were together last year looked capable of doing it this year, but then they sold off 4 of that team.

Zatman
would rather have grayson than mcleish im interested to know why? Grayson level is mid-table championship at best
Stevo985 Posted February 2, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted February 2, 2012 So is McLeish to be fair. I'd wager Grayson would be doing as well as McLeish is with our team.
Zatman
well McLeish one year in Championship he finished 2nd so not mid-table
Stevo985 Posted February 2, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted February 2, 2012 Ok yeah. I admit I was focusing more on the "Championship" element of your statement. i.e. I think Mcleish is a Championship manager
Demitri_C
grayson is a good young up coming manager. i think he has done a fantastic job there. certainly would back him for villa job if ever arose.
djamfisher
well McLeish one year in Championship he finished 2nd so not mid-table The squad Mcleish had at Blues in that year was a lot better than grayson's at Leeds in my opinion, with premier league experience. Grayson was harshly treated, he was doing agood job with the resources available.
mjmooney Posted February 2, 2012 Author VT Supporter Share Posted February 2, 2012 And don't forget, he's an ex-Villa player.
GarethRDR
Read a few interesting tales online, most of them claiming Grayson lost the dressing room over his handling of Andy O'Brien. Allegedly, he also has an interesting track record when it comes to "handling" club employees.
Dodgyknees
It was O'briens wife he shagged. Has't hurt A*** P**d**s career to shag the wives of his players though.
djamfisher
Whose players' wives did he go with? I think I remeber hearing the Grayson rumour some time ago. Surely the club woul'dve sacked him earlier if it had been a players wife. Especially as Bates and Grayson have not seen eye to eye for some time (supposedly).
