This is superb -semi classical, but lovely.

Agnes Obel!!

Emma's buying me this for Xmas. I have her other album, and went to see her at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester a couple of years ago.

Only heard 1 of the new tracks but knowing Agnes, this is bound to be a beautiful album.

I think this one's even better than the last.

Now there's a coincidence.

A Dane living in Berlin - a good combination.

I was thinking of buying one of her albums for a female of my acquaintance.

But which of the two?

^^Ha I just clicked that expecting  boring shite.

I was right.

Nah not really it's actually not bad at all.

It is very appealing on first hearing.

But I am not sure if it is actually quite a bland song and I just take it seriously because it has a nice bit of cello on it and lyrics I can't quite hear.

Her Scandinavian wistfulness (yes I know) seems a bit studied.

I bought "In The region of the Summer Stars", thinking it would be the sort of thing I'd like.

It wasn't. Cartoon idea of a rock band playing pseudo-classical music. Gives prog a bad name.

I have never really got the fusion between rock and classical music - that tyrannical beat and all that.
