Kitey
Henry is a fantastic striker but a bloody diva who can't be arsed performing against clubs like Pompey. He doesn't deserve the award. Oh, and he's a crap captain.
MooreMooreMoore
Garrard for me. His carred that rarther avarage team into 3rd place. Liverpool have a better record without Gerrard. When the voting was cast, Lampard and Rooney were in top form. Henry has been the best recently though.....Rooney will win.
Jez
Henry has been poor by his amazing standards, if he was so good Arse wouldnt be 5th. Where is Liam Ridgewell?

HongKongVillan Posted April 13, 2006 VT Supporter Share Posted April 13, 2006 Terry for me. He is the only player in the list who can play in defence and in goal too. Is unbelivable how many shots he has saved this season.

The_Rev
Rooney has to be a shoe in for young player, doesnt he? I mean, if you are good enough to be nominated for the overall player of the year and none of the other young player nominees are anywhere near it, then the shortlists alone rate you as better than the others already. Dont they? I hope he doesnt win both though. It will take away the record of the only example of a person who ever won both in the same season being a Villa player. roonst83
dont agree that cesc fabrigas deserves to win it, sure he's played very well since january but where the hell was he before that?? whereas Rooney, Bent, Steve Davis etc have all been brilliant all season! As for player of the year, henry or rooney methinks.
