When was the last time we had a real finisher? Phillips?
He hardly set the world alight with us though did he?

No, not really lol. He was good at Sunderland though :)

Although to answer your question more accurately: Yorke?

I'd go with Dublin, he was consistent enough to qualify for me.

I was thinking more along the lines of an out and out finisher.

I liked Dublin, good finisher for a big man.

the guy on 5 live sports extra is spot on.

having a right footed player on left and vice versa isn't a better option, unless they are christiano Ronaldo or Messi.

get to the by line and smash it in so strikers can attack it also prevents balls swinging out for goal kicks, if someone is charging in late they can smash it on the edge of the area.

I think you will find, with particular mind to England and the fact we have Ashley Cole and Glen Johnson, its so the full backs can push forward and cross giving a dual threat. It also means the full back crossing will probably either end up in space or against someone out of position making it easier to pick out a ball, as the opposition defenders will be pulled out of position by the winger. There is a semblance of logic to it, particularly with the attacking full backs we have.

Having said that I wouldn't say I was a particular fan of that strategy.

I wish Delfouneso was playing, if there was a game to give him some experience this would be it.

From what I've heard, his attitude hasn't been great.

hmm interesting enough.. maybe its cos hes not being idolised by GH like he was by MON?? dunno but its as obvious as hell that albrighton, bannan and clark have all jumped ahead of him this season.. dont know how though because up front is where we are despeartely short.. im sure we'll see him at some point tonight though and hopefully bang 1 in.
