I didnt want him in the begining and now i just hate the clearing in the woods ... We'r the fcukin Villa FFS Not fcukin Hartlepool united!

Who dose he think he is to string us out like this?..

More fool to the micky mouse board... Go Back to disneyland!

5 weeks to parade a bloke under contract some place else and that hasnt even signed... Couldnt Run A Bath!..

So in a less 'personal' or 'abusive' way why is it you hate Houllier and why is he a "clearing in the woods" what has he done wrong other than having the respect to hounour pre-exsiting agreements with the FFF and not leave them in a lurch like a certain former manager? Exactly how is he 'stringing' us out? is this a clever little game he is playing?

And the last couple of points about "micky mouse board" and "couldn't run a bath" are frankly disrespectful and without substance. Why are they mickey mouse? I would have more respect for you if you were able to put a reasoned argument as to why think Houllier is a word removed (god help him when he actually does something wrong)

Lets start with his quotes by describing his new team as belonging 'between seventh and 12th in the Premier League' - even though O'Neill took them to three successive sixth-placed finishes - adding: 'Villa is not a club on the same level as Liverpool.',,,

I like others dont wanna hear that shit Especially, When i have just shelled out hard earned, hard to come by cash on the next 6 games in a row!

**** liverpool what they got to do with the villa managers job?.. If you still got the hard on for them then go play on the M62...

The day When mon left GH was not on anybodys top 10 wish list of any villa fan to take over and your muggin yourself off if you say so!

As for the board well where do you start in the last 2 months?.. The bastards have crushed poor kevin mac, The fcukers gagged him to not speaking out about the managers job so they didnt have to spen money till jan, now the bloke gets stick for saying he hadnt made his mind up when he was gagged all along.

Funny how he was aloud to speake about it on aug 2nd!

I really hope and pray that it takes the full 3 months and kevin mac wins every fcukin game!

"Why am I here? I had offers from other countries, as you can imagine," he said. "But I like to do things as a team, whether at Liverpool, Lyon or Paris [saint-Germain], and here I feel that we're going to be in this together.

"There's a vision of gradual progress and improvement. We won't achieve that overnight. The aim, of course, is Europe, places of honour, and silverware. Everybody's talking about the Champions League, but I say let's take it one step at a time. What we want to do is make the best of the squad we have. I think the team will improve in the long run.

"I've done a bit of homework and I've yet to meet anyone who says it's not a good club. Let's make it a great club."

His predecessor, it was suggested, had failed in the mission to propel Villa into the top four. "Well, we're in the top four now," Houllier responded with a smile, referring to a league table which shows them in fourth place after three matches, behind Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, and nine places ahead of his old club. "If we keep that up, I'll be very happy."

Yeah the above quotes from yesterday's Press conference, certainly make him look a right word removed........really???

He mentioned Liverpool in a past tense and said one of his immediate priorities was to see them defeated at VP, harldy makes him a word removed does it?

As for "top 10 wish lists" I personally didn't compile one, however you're right he didn't spring to mind as a candidate, clearly makes him a word removed

As for 'crushing' poor KMac, really? you've spoken to him then? and how do you know he was gagged? is that YOUR opinion or fact??

And finally you want the uncertainty to carry on for another 3 months? why? and presumably you wanted KMac to get the job then? If I had the time or inclination I would read through some of your posts and no doubt find a few rants saying "KMac is shit and not the man etc" after the Newcastle and Vienna game.

As for the "mickey mouse" and "disney land" comments, I prefer to trust the board as I believe they have earnt that trust over the last 4 years. Each to their own.

AVFC have a very average appeal outside the UK, indeed some could argue our profile within the UK is pretty average. Although we appreciate we have three consecutive 6th place finishes they come on the back of some very mediocre league placings that almost resulted in relegation. Our record in the Europa has been pathetic, this in turm means our name does not get any airtime on the continent. As a result of not making the headlines people outside the club pperceive us as just making up the numbers and only notice the 'Big 4'. Don't think GH was been offensive, it's just indicitive of our profile and something I'm sure the board are trying to improve. As for being on the same level as Liverpool - Ok, they had a disappointing league placing last season but in terms of club stature they're isn't really a contest as Liverpool are probably among the top 3 names in world football, Aston Villa is not.

As for the notice period, can't see what people are fussing about. He is legally bound just like you are at work. He can't just not turn up because he can no longer be arsed. The three month things is sesantionalism on part of the papers and I have no doubt he'll be here as promised after the Bolton game. As for KMc, no one here wanted him as manager. He's been offered the next best thing and refused and then been given his old, cushy job back. He's got no reason to moan.

Would people not be worried if the French wanted rid of him quick sharp?

They dont want to lose him because he is doing a good job!

I can't think of any other situation where a new manager has carried on in his old role for a few weeks. It's unbelievable.

Haha....I thought parts of Soccer AM was funny, you crack me up...

Do you even know what was questions were asked by the French press for him to talk about Liverpool? I'll answer that one for you...You don't.

He isn't lying in what he said.

I don't mind him saying AV isn't on the same level as plop, I know they're not so it matters not.

As for Kevin, he has got his old job back, he isn't being used....He was asked to take over as the caretaker manager until Lerner found a manager to take over.....Well as you can see we still don't have a manager at the club for another week, therefore he is still the caretaker manager.....Nothing has changed in what they asked of him.

It's not the same appointment as taking a manager from another club.....Do you understand that? Did you not hear the part about the French Law?

Because his role at the FFF isn't as manager. I assume he's not contracted, he's salaried, which is why he has to serve this notice period. It's not like when a manager is contracted to a club and compensation can be paid to terminate that contract.

It's just like if you or I wanted to leave our job, we'd have to serve 1 month's notice unless the company put us on gardening leave. In France that notice is 3 months.

The FFF are quite within their rights to make Houllier work for another 3 months. We assume that won't happen, but they haven't negotiated a release date yet, therefore Houllier can't be our manager as he's already employed elsewhere.

I really don't see why the situation is "unbelievable"

People seem to be mentioning French labour laws too. What is the specific law that's stopping him from leaving?
Good question.

Random website says

France

The statutory minimum notice period upon dismissal/ redundancy depends on the employee's length of service within the same company: There is no statutory minimum notice period for an employee who has less than 6 months of service; 1 month's notice period is required for an employee with 6 months to 2 years of service; and 2 month's for an employee with at least 2 years of service. Longer notice periods can be contractually agreed upon or provided for by CBAs. With very few exceptions, the Labor Code does not provide for a notice period in the case of a resignation.

You can read through as many post of mine as you like and you will see i have never once said a bad thing about kevin mac,

Yes i wanted kevin mac as manager, Im not itk but it was made clear by someone that is, that a big name was not gonna happen, so for that reason i wanted to stick with KM rather than some punt on a bloke thats been out the game for 6-7 years and carrys a health warning! My beef is with the board about the whole handling of it all not the team, I will be there on monday night in the probably pissing down of rain singing my heart out for the lads!...

If I was personally in his position, I wouldn't want to leave the FFF on bad terms, It's his home nation after all...He may want to buy players from France, yet he could be making a bad name for himself if he just up and left which could kick up a fuss with the FFF which French players might not like and not want to join our club because of that. He is keeping his soon to be old employers happy...He isn't leaving them because they've been bad to him.

If he does the small things they asked he may be able to leave a lot sooner than what the law see's as the correct amount of notice.

This is the last time I will interact with you, as without being 'personal' I don't agree with anything you say. As for calling him a word removed you used "word removed" which I am lead to believe is the filter for word removed or T**t my bad if it isn't, however I think i'm right. Given that, I think you're harsh on GH for no valid reason and you go on to admit your beef is with the board (again I don't see why)

Let's just leave it their as I have no desire to squabble with you as I have a life away from this board. Thanks for saying I'm talking like a word removed though. Wonder if the mods will delete that as they did mine for calling you an idiot? word removed.......idiot. I know which one I think is more abusive.

I read it, then read the bit below which says there is no such law, so unlucky sunshine.
