I would love an official statement on the official website - 'AVFC can confirm that they have had a bid for midfielder James Milner. The club would like to formally tell Man City to take a long walk off a short pier and f**k right off'

Except there arent any piers in Manchester...

I thought the days of us being a selling club were gone?

DONT SELL PLEASE!!! :(:(:(:(

Not saying he will go but there really isn't anything you can do if a player really wants to leave.

Man U had to let the best player in the world go.

Milner won't leave, man shitty are not in the champions league and r in the europa just like us. If it were united then he may of considered it, however im sure he wont leave, unless we get a bid of £30 mil plus ireland then we may be tempted to accept.

Steven Ireland , Carlton Cole & Robbie Keane...

Who are these clowns who Email in to SSN.:lol:

I'd have Ireland and only Ireland out of those three...

I was embarrassed when I heard that. No wonder other fans hate us.

If we sell Milner for £30m then Ireland, Parker, Carrick and so on will all suddenly become worth £20m+.

We will simply be serving to speed up player price inflation. This is pretty similar to what happened to united last year. After pocketing £80m for Ronaldo, they were suddenly being quoted £60m for players like Ribery.

Regardless, I don't want us to sell Jimmy.

So if he says to MON he wants to stay at villa, baring in mind he's the foundations of the starting 11, MON will say tough??? Surely he'll be doing all he can to keep him??? Jimmy will have to face sitting on the bench a lot more than he does now. At the moment, City have won nothing... Good players do not make a team.
