paddy Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Isn't Alfie Potter that kid who claimed to have become a dad at 12 then it turned out not to be his?
The_Randy_Villan Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Isn't Alfie Potter that kid who claimed to have become a dad at 12 then it turned out not to be his? No, but he did score against Liverpool for Havent & Waterlooville.
starsailor9774 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I see Sky don't have us down as Aston Villa XI on the ticker across the bottom........
YLN Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 MON out This. The team we put out today would easily get relegated from the Premiership. THIS is what proves he's too slow in the transfer market.

villanmike Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I see Sky don't have us down as Aston Villa XI on the ticker across the bottom........ No, and they have for Man Utd the tossers. Makes Villa look bad, they are so pathetic.
cheltenham_villa Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 not a great performance for me. first chance to see some of these kids. Number 3 left back looked solid, good on the ball and a great crosser. Gardner looked composed until he was ended.

Nigel Posted August 5, 2009 VT Supporter Posted August 5, 2009 Completly forgot we were playing this till late last night. What team did we put out? Edit - Should really stop being lazy - found it in the match thread.
BOF Posted August 5, 2009 Moderator Posted August 5, 2009 The fixture was officially Aston Villa. Not an XI.
kammy Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 The fixture was officially Aston Villa. Not an XI. That's not what it says on the match ticket.
kammy Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 were devine or carruthers any good? carruthers didn't do an awful lot. he was fairly composed when he was on the ball though, and got a big cheer when he went through the oxford player who had taken out gary gardner.
BOF Posted August 5, 2009 Moderator Posted August 5, 2009 That's not what it says on the match ticket.Interesting...
kammy Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 But the program all but promised big names, with profiles of our first team stars, and a squad list on the back that included 2 or 3 of the kids who played.
sm Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 When the fixture was announced, it said the team would depend on progress in the Peace Cup. The first team, reserves and youth team all played in that competition and have been given off until Thursday. I was a little surprised that Gabby, Milner and Gardener did not play in it though.
