Well I didn't mean he was never going to play again, he injured his shoulder last year and now again it seems, you are far more susceptible to future injuries once you did it once as it has been weakened. Like a knee, once cartilage is injured or removed (for example in a an operation) it does not grow back. Sorry if you thought I meant he was finished in the game or something like that. No worries.
