oh damn, I had shawshank in mind when I voted, and completely missed LA Confidential which may well have pipped it. Both of those my favourites, though I haven't yet seen a couple of those mind.

Pulp Fiction or Usual Suspects for me. Shawshank and Schindlers List being the 2 most over-rated.

heh. I like Pulp Fiction and Usual Suspects but I do think the latter is a bit overrated. Kevin Spacey is great, but it's a once only kinda film for me.

good shout on Fargo though levi.

It has to be Heat for me....... Incredible film, its a shame that Michael Mann seems to have followed the exact same template for Miami Vice and Public Enemies....

Pulp Fiction is always the first thing I think of when I get asked this question.

Fargo and The Big Lebowski have to be up there too.

That is one of the hardest poll's in the history of the world. My favourite Gangster movie, favourite western and favourite drama thriller are there. So it simply came down to De Niro, Freeman or Eastwood.
