Ryan. Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Everyone loves a good curry but which is your favourite? Personally, I'm torn between Madras and Vindaloo but more often than not I'll have a Vindaloo so I'm going with that.
RamboMcInally Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I prefer a medium one and a chicken tikka masala gets my vote.
Anthony Posted November 14, 2008 VT Supporter Posted November 14, 2008 I went for a balti, although it seems anyhthing can be called a balti nowadays as long as it has, er, balti in it. The name, that is.
rjw63 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 You've missed loads :-) Dopiaza, pasanda, phaal,Ceylon, dhansak, malaya, and all the variatons Personally I like a hot balti, so I'd say balti vindaloo Also like pasanda and malaya
Artetasgirl Posted November 14, 2008 Visiting Supporter Posted November 14, 2008 I don't like them too hot, so I went for Masala
Ryan. Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 Yeah I couldn't put them all Rob so I just put the most common ones, but I swear I put an "other" option!
trekka Posted November 14, 2008 VT Supporter Posted November 14, 2008 If I'm with the lads on a night out and everyone else has a madras or a vindaloo then I'm quite fond of a madras (can't go "soft" by having a Masala, pride is at stake). Otherwise, I love a prawn Bhuna.
kidlewis Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Chicken Rezella (hot) Chicken Dhakeshwari (mild) Chicken Tikka Bhuna (medium) all absolutely awesome. Seetar in Kenilworth does all of the above bloody well.
benevans Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 My friend was telling me last week that some of his Asian friends have said before that Asian people generally don't eat curries as hot as a Phall (as an example) because it's just not good at all for your body (I don't mean nutritionally). Apparently anyway! I generally like to go for the specialities on whatever restaurant I go for, I like a bit of variety. Another question for you guys though, what rice and sundries do people have? If I have rice it's usually pilau and a nice stuffed paratha too. Spot on!
trekka Posted November 14, 2008 VT Supporter Posted November 14, 2008 Oh I love a keema naan! Bread filled with meat, can it get any better?
wiganvillain Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I've put myself down as Vindaloo but it depends where I am Back in Scotland I can't cope with a Vindaloo but further south, particularly London they seem to make them weaker. Best Indian meal believe it or not was in January in Frankfurt, truly wonderfull
Ryan. Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 Oh and a pint of Cobra for authenticity, lovely.
jonno_2004 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Lamb Tikka Balti, Boiled Rice, Peshwari Naan with an alcoholic beverage of some form.
trekka Posted November 14, 2008 VT Supporter Posted November 14, 2008 Oh and a pint of Cobra for authenticity, lovely. Personally, I prefer a pint of... Has to be draft mind, don't like it at all from the bottle. Draft is a good pint
