Before their loss to Newcastle, Roy Hodgson's record with liverpool this season was EXACTLY the same as his record with fulham at the same point last season. Same points, same games won, lost and drawn home and away, same goals scored.

No, its totally useless trivia, not totally amazing trivia!

Or are you taking issue with my halfway reference? Cos the universe is **** big, and I knew sub-atomic particles were small but I didn't realise they were THAT small!

  • 2 weeks later...

Alan Shearer scored 260 goals in 441 games in the Premier League.

Andy Cole scored 189 in 414.

If you dont count penalty kicks:

Alan Shearer scored 202 goals in the Premier League.

Andy Cole scored 188.

Andy Cole probably doesnt get enough credit, does he?

Machiavelli, the man who's name has become synonymous with immorality and the end justifying the means thanks to his short work the Prince, wasn't actually Machiavellian. He was a largely moral man and seems to have written the Prince as a kind of joke at how a politician shouldn't be.

The longest palindromic word in everyday use is saippuakivikauppias, Finnish for 'someone who sells soapstones'.
Everyday use? 'Someone who sells soapstones'?
