As the quiz question standard goes. What do the letters in ASDA stand for?
And the answer is nearly always given as Associated Dairies

WRONG!

It stands for Asquith and Dairies (so the DA does come from Associated Dairies) but the Asquith is the name of the other company that merged with Associated Dairies to form the supermarket chain

I know he wasn't very nice, but that seems a harsh punishment for him.

In Elizabethan times the rose was the first purpose built theatre. They built small clay boxes, similar to a child's piggy bank.  Except these could not be opened without smashing them.Everyone paying an entry fee put their coins into these clay boxes. The money was taken to a room a the back of the theatre and smashed open to count the days takings. This room was called the box office.

Still stands today.

That does rather beg the question, who was Jan Berry?

The formal meaning of the phrase 'beg the question' is to assume the answer in a question.

1000000000000066600000000000001

is a prime number...it is also a palindrome.

It's called 'Belphegor's prime.'

'Belphegor' refers to one of the Seven Princes of Hell (due to the '666' in the middle & the 13 zeroes on either side).

A part of California is further north than a part of Canada.

The northeastern end of Tennessee (part of "The South") is closer to Canada than to the Southwestern end of Tennessee.

The point in the US that is nearest to Africa is in the state of Maine.
