Exactly 2 PPG in the PL, or 76 points over a season, if he keeps it up.

stewiek2
I'm not gay but I would for him. 13 minutes ago, MaVilla said: Yep, i have the same. 32 League games, 64 points. He's a genius. Edited September 30, 2023 by stewiek2 1

Popular Post markavfc40
He is doing a great job. Take into account that he has been without 40% of our best starting outfield team for pretty much the whole start to this season (Mings, Moreno, Ramsey and Buendia) then that great job becomes a remarkable one. Surprised at how few PPG Smith got overall, although tbh we were pretty crap under him in the PL aside from a few streaks. Emery has been consistently good since he came in however.

No manager with more than 190 games (MO'N) in charge since Ron Saunders, Dean Smith the longest serving since M'ON with 138. Could Unai become the longest serving manager since Ron Saunders?

It's the same with most football clubs now. I think the average lifespan of a Premier League manager at a single club isn't even 2 years now? Popular Post Tomaszk
Hope the owners understand what we have here. It will not get better than this. This is the pinnacle. PPG down significantly. Factoring that in, its clear Slippy was by far the worst manager we had since we got promoted. on the flip side, Smith's results peaked, then dropped off massively when Grealish left, obviously, as he got sacked in the end due to poor results. Probably worth bearing in mind the likes of Konsa, Mings, McGinn, Luiz…they would all be finding their feet in Premier League football in that first season. They’re all much better, established top flight players now than they were then, so results with them involved should be better (and yes, Emery takes his share of the credit for that individual improvement too). 1

Yeah those two squads aren't really comparable. But what Emery's doing regardless is amazing. Just need to look at when he came in VS what Steven was serving up.
Popular Post ChesterDad
I just loved how he celebrated the goals today - this man is a legendary villan already. I think he gets, the size of the club, the tradition, the expectation of us fans - pretty remarkable really given that, he is not English. we are lucky indeed to have him - we just have to trust him. He won’t let us down

Popular Post Villarocker
I'd just love all Villa fans to realise where we've come from in the past decade, enjoy the fact our defence plays mostly in the opposition half, see how frequently we score goals, watch our management team celebrate every goal, see us climbing higher and higher up the table and stop moaning when our weakened starting eleven lose cup games. Honestly, I could cry watching how beautiful we look as a team and then unhappy tears at how our fans whing because Tielemans makes a poor pass that leads to a cup defeat. Sit back and enjoy the overall experience right now because I live in fear of Unai, Nas or Wes getting bored of us, I really do. 6
