BOF Posted March 31, 2023 Author Moderator Share Posted March 31, 2023 Excellent. 3-1. Just what the doctor ordered. Right in the mix now although still plenty to do.

BOF Posted April 3, 2023 Author Moderator Share Posted April 3, 2023 Front page stats updated with the below results. On 21/03/2023 at 10:52, BOF said: Friday 24/03 14:00 Derby County(11) 1-5 Middlesbrough(7) Friday 31/03 19:00 Derby County(11) 1-3 Southampton(3->2)19:00 Norwich City(4->5) 1-3 Aston Villa(5->4) 19:00 Stoke City(10) P-P Leeds United(1) Today's fixtures. On 21/03/2023 at 10:52, BOF said: Monday 03/04 19:00 Derby County(11) v West Brom(6) 19:00 Newcastle Utd(9) v Middlesbrough(7) 19:00 Sunderland(8) v Notts Forest(2) There's still a bit of confusion over who got our 3rd goal. Even though the Villa match report says Patterson (and I've gone with Patterson), the Villa results section says Raikhy, so it's not just soccerway and those sites getting confused.
useless
It was Travis Patterson that scored the goal, he said so on his instagram after the game, and there's now a video of him scoring, Afoka with the assist.
BOF Posted April 4, 2023 Author Moderator Share Posted April 4, 2023 Monday 03/04 19:00 Derby County(11) 1-5 West Brom(6->4) 19:00 Newcastle Utd(9) 0-0 Middlesbrough(7) 19:00 Sunderland(8) 3-1 Notts Forest(2->3) West Brom's big win puts them into 4th place and joint on 30pts with ourselves and Norwich. Norwich drop out of the playoff places and we drop to 5th. West Brom still with a game in hand. West Brom's remaining games 17/04 Home to Sunderland(8) 24/04 Away to Stoke(10) 28/04 Home to Leeds(1) Our remaining 2 games 14/04 Home to Derby(11) 21/04 Away to Forest(3) Norwich's remaining 2 games 17/04 Away to Newcastle(9) 23/04 Home to Southampton(2) So West Brom's final 2 games will be after both of us have finished our seasons, so they'll know exactly what's required. I think it's fair to say it's between us and Norwich for the final place.

Prior to that, if they draw or lose against Boro -- who themselves need at least a draw in that to have any chance of catching us, West Brom, or Norwich -- we can go above Forest on GD (possibly, considering we have to play minus-51-GD-one-point-all-season Derby too) or by a point, respectively. I think we've got a real chance this year of making the playoffs. Edited April 4, 2023 by fightoffyour

True, and they've a Premier League Cup semi-final away to Blackburn Rovers just 3 days before travelling to Middlesbrough, so that should help. As you say, anything but a win at Boro and it's in our hands.

HanoiVillan
Got to thrash Derby to get that goal difference up. Good news is a] they're pish, and b] West Brom just showed it can be done.

Kuwabatake Sanjuro
Does that mean good contract news for Seb Revan and Swinkels? I still think Revan can make it to a good level despite disappointing loan moves.
fightoffyour Posted April 14, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted April 14, 2023 Forest had a bad night in the PL Cup this week I see, although Blackburn are in (near the bottom of) the upper tier.
