Booed off at your first home game as manager, down to 10 men because you ballsed up your subs. The loudest chants of the evening being "patrick bamford is F&cking Sh#t" (your forward who is mean to keep you up) while the drama queen Leeds fans are either leaving or holding a wake for the bloke who got canned before you.

Nice home debut Jesse.

Or maybe the nadir was even closer in time, when the team for the Brighton match was announced. I will never forget  the gloom on that day.

One of the lowest points in this forum's history was the meltdown in the pre-game thread! :D

From MOT review article. Overrated shit club. Hope they go down

"The die hard Elland Road crowd finally turned hostile as Leeds were humbled by an average Villa side!"

Ha ha, that made lovely reading on a sunny Saturday morning.

Reading that thread, for such ‘amazing’ support they don’t half sound pretty toxic right now. Booing the team off, directing aggression at the directors box, walking out early etc… it’s easy to be amazing fans when you’re winning every week. Not so when you’re shit.

For the most part they seem to be a massively entitled fan base, even after 16 years in the Championship, they still felt as though they didn’t belong there. I think after our relegation, from my own experience, I found it quite humbling that through poor management, poor ownership, and poor football any team can get relegated and there’s no god given right to get promoted either. With the majority of Leeds fans they seem to feel like everyone else was wrong, and they were being forced to play below their standard… sadly for them they might be back there quite soon.

Not surprising when the media also constantly reinforce this message despite them spending half of their existence outside the top flight and less seasons in fact than Bluescum.

Bizarre.
