useless Posted October 30, 2020 Share Posted October 30, 2020 Clarke will be 22 in a couple of months, and has never been named as part of the first team squad, most likely he's gone to Yeovil to try and earn himself a move elsewhere when his contract with us runs out. Not sure what he can do whilst in non-league to prove that he's good enough for us, O'Hare who was younger at the time did okay on loan with Coventry in league one last season and that wasn't enough to earn him a new deal, and he was released when it was looking like we might be playing in the championship this season, so seems almost impossible for Clarke, I think the hope for him will be that he plays well enough to get a decent move elsewhere. It’s interesting that the goalkeeper Sinisalo seems the one to be playing the most, similar to the one last year. Often teams will go for experience in goal, so must have something about him. But we appreciate it. Well I do. If only to highlight how disappointing our historic crop of youth team players are. I'll done a half-arsed search on Google & Twitter and haven't been able to find any confirmation but I believe Archer and a few others must have been hampered by injury as opposed to not even being good enough to make the squad.
