Loan Thread 20/21

Solihull's game has also been postponed, although Archer has been injured so not sure if he would have been involved anyway.

Revan starts again for Weymouth, and Vassilev on the bench for Cheltenham.

Does the loan window stay open for an extra month to non-premiership teams as per the summer window?

Hence the no major rush to send out Davis/Ramsey yesterday? Hope that's the case as when Sansom and Wes are match fit can't see those 2 making the bench and U23 football is no good to them for continued growth and progression.

I'm not sure sorry. I went searching and couldn't find much. Found the following on Wikipedia which may(?) apply:

Quote

Outside the transfer window in England, once seven days have passed following the end of a transfer window, clubs from the English Football League (Regulation 53.3.4)[34] and (provided the player is not registered with a club from any league below the National League division) National League division[35] (Rule 6.6.4) can loan in players i) in the first half of the season, until 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in November and ii) in the second half of the season, until 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in March.

Summary from Tuesday night

Ben Guy (Portadown) -11th/12 in the League
Away at Linfield (3-0) - Substituted after 74 minutes.

Dominic Revan (Weymouth) - 21st/23 in the League
Away at Boreham Wood (1-0) - Played 90 minutes. Booked.

Mbwana Samatta (Fenerbahce) - 1st in the League
Away at Hatayspor (1-2) - Came on at the start of the 2nd half. WhoScored.com rating of 6.30

Also thanks to @sne who posted an article in Other Football regarding Non-League clubs likely to vote to end the season, rather than take a Government loan they can't afford to pay back. This would affect the loans of Jack Clarke, Dominic Revan, Cameron Archer & Callum Rowe.

There's a lovely interview with Mark Delaney on the OS about some of the players that are on loan - he talks about cooking for themselves, filling a car with petrol and insuring it, just generally learning to look after themselves and how the club go about making sure they're okay when they're out on loan. It's interesting to hear the way they talk about it.

Just looking at Sinisalo's stats he's played every league game since joining Ayr United, kept five clean sheets in thirteen games, and they've got the joint second best defensive record in the division. Although he's just conceded against Hearts.

Just also noticed in looking for that score that the game can be watched on the Iplayer.

Another cracking goal there from Conor. Fair play to you @Hornsofor putting the work in to keep us updated on the loanees. Thanks mate!

A cracker, but good God Norwich. Hourihane standing alone 25 yards from goal and not a soul in sight.

I'm a big fan of that co commentator just screaming though.:D

He loves a goal against Norwich does our Conor. And yeah that Welsh commentator is hilarious, he’s screaming for a penalty just after as well 😂

Archer has only played one game in the last two months, and not in the Solihull squad again tonight, Wright also missing for Walsall after coming off injured in their last game, when you add to that that Lewis Brunt has also been a long term injury, Ben Guy missed about three months of the season, Jack Clarke only made three appearances for Yeovil and hasn't yet played for Chesterfield as far as I'm aware, it seems that our youngsters out on loan aren't having the best of luck.
