parisvilla
haha that is a nice gif, gotta love brian wilson. Game 1 of the WS tonight, given the fact that Cliff Lee pretty much guarantees a W surely got to put the house on the rangers tonight? (they're -1.5 runs at 7/5)
kurtsimonw
Yeah I think Texas will win big tonight, Giants will do well to take this past 5 games.
leviramsey Posted October 28, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted October 28, 2010 Giants lead 3-2 in the bottom of the 5th.
NibblyPig
Giants walked all over the Rangers tonight. Lee out after 4 2/3. Lincecum looked shaky to begin with but found his rhythm. I think (hope) Giants in 6.
kurtsimonw
Really surprised with that. No doubt Yankee fans don't want Lee anymore after 1 bad performance?
kurtsimonw
Giants lead 2-0 going into the 8th, horrible pitching management by the Rangers meant that with 2 outs, they gave up 7 runs.

maqroll
Well, that was about as boring as the last World Cup. The chaos in SF afterwards was more exciting:
leviramsey Posted November 2, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted November 2, 2010 Almost unwatchable series (and not just because of Fox's bullshit widescreen broadcasts).

maqroll
Baseball is just dull. It can be. Just like any sport can be, I suppose.
knoppy1987
Baseball is just dull. I thought that until I went to the 'ball game'. It is the best sporting event I've ever been to. So much to do, so much food, beer delivered to you etc it is great. Just to add to that, A few Vlad bombs at the Big A settled me in for a week. Anyway, to those who follow Baseball in America and who have better access to information. As an Angels fan, having lost out on Lee, Crawford and Beltre is it now just a case of settling for Scott Podsednik (lead-off) and making a lot of the fans happy with a return of Vladdy. I would be. Brumerican
I've been to a couple of minor league games (Jacksonville Suns) and whilst I'm not a huge fan of the game I'll admit it's a good craic , especially Thursday nights which is $1 beer night ! I "follow" the Cubs in the majors which combined with being a Jaguars fan (NFL for those unaware) and a Villa fan , you can imagine how much of my life is spent being disappointed ! knoppy1987
I don't know much about NFL but the Cubs don't look up too much. A healthy Aramis will help though. I heard Matt Garza was on the radar also.

Still, hopefully their rotation can find their old form in the AL west.
maqroll
There was a lot of grumbling in Boston when Henry bought Liverpool, because people thought he'd stop spending money on the Red Sox.... I think if he doesn't sack Hodgson soon, there will be calls for his head in Liverpool!
