Feel like I've mastered my chicken and chorizo casserole recipe. Every time I make it, I tweak it a bit and having made it tonight it was the best it's ever been. :D

Coq-y.

Fixed.

I've just cooked the finest curried baked beans you'll ever taste.

Fry an onion in oil until slightly softened. Throw in a couple of rashers of sliced bacon. Fry until onion is soft and bacon is cooked, not crispy. Add a lump of butter and clove of chopped garlic, fry for a 3 minutes. Add 1/2 tablespoon of tikka spices and 1/2 tablespoon of madras curry powder and fry for 2 minutes. Add a tin of baked beans.

Add a tablespoon of water and a teaspoon of tomato purée.

Heat gently without boiling and stir for a few minutes.

The best accompaniment to a baked potato you could possibly imagine.

Cooking folks

I'm cooking for the missus tomorrow night.

Going to cook peri peri chicken and sweet potato mash. but need something else to accompany it.

Any suggestions?

I'd usually have broccoli and sweetcorn, but that's a bit boring.

Have considered asparagus or green beans...

Sweet Potato is insanely sweet, so if it was me, then i'd want something to contrast that. i.e. something nice and refreshing.

A salad I often make to go with indian food, which could work, would be the following:

Finely chopped tomatoes, skins and inner shizzle removed.

Finely, finely chopped onions.

Lemon Juice.

A good helping of seasoning.

Coriander.

Very simple, and nothing special at all, but it works nicely as a little palette cleanser.

You could ofcourse sub in the king of herbs (Basil) for the Coriander if you're not a fan.

Not bad, I was considering coleslaw as well but again thought it was a bit bland, but that salad would be a nice substitute.

Although I would, of course, not be putting Onions in it.

There's a layer of vanilla frosting between the bottom two layers and chocolate fudge frosting between the top two layers. It was really moist, actually moister than I expected it to be, which was pleasant

I always add saffron to my fondants

This thread has now officially given me more erections than the Lovely Ladies one did.
