The Nations League has been a success though, the fact that there are a lot of narratives coming out of matches is what football should be about really. This group (A4, they still need to work on catchier names) is totally up for grabs, Germany could get relegated, Luxembourg and Gibraltar are winning games. It's great fun. So much better than friendlies. It's good for international football as a whole. Will be interesting stories see the next one when you have some good A teams relegated and playing some promoted C teams, I wonder if the gulf in class will start to shrink. mikeyp102
An international midfield of Dier, Barkley and Delph is very poor. 2 players who barely play for their clubs, next to another who seems to have got worse with age.

Davkaus
Well, I'd like to go to the Blues game and forgot to buy tickets on time, so come on Croatia, hoping for 2-1.

BleedClaretAndBlue
Sterling and Kane both fluffing golden opportunities in the space of a minute
Davkaus
Kane's got to do better from there, he had half the goal to aim at.
Xann
Croatia rattled Kane in the Semi and it hasn't looked like he's got over it.

Davkaus
Admittedly I don't watch the Premier League anymore, where he's apparently tearing things up, but Sterling is unbelievably shite at finishing for England.
Davkaus
Well, that silenced the Atomic Kitten recital.
kurtsimonw
Only expected a point, maybe 2 at a push. Generally pleased with the overall performances though in probably the toughest group. Happy with what Southgate is doing and even moreso than he's willing to call up players who perform, regardless of their club.
kurtsimonw
Well, massively impressive, regardless of how much some will want to play it down
mikeyp102
Didn’t watch today, but reports indicate a strong performance. Have to say Southgate deserves credit, thought he was just a yes man. He’s done a good job with this side. Learns from his mistakes, mainly in that a back 3 didn’t work against the better sides and he’s adapted. Bringing through a lot of younger players and playing in form ather favourites.
PieFacE Posted November 18, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted November 18, 2018 Thought we played really well. Impressed.
Wainy316
Really enjoyed that! So much better than friendlies and found myself cheering England goals again. Nice to get one over Croatia and that malnourished git Modric too.
