He's said it, unless we win. Personally I think he'll go, he can't handle the negativity and if he loses another Euros, questions will be asked.

You can just imagine how inspired the players will be

The ride has turned, the media will go for him before the euros, knives will be out

I kind of agree with Southage about the critique of Maguire, it has gone way past critique to bullying, (this threshold was crossed years ago), by the media and fans.

The criticism of Maguire is beyond comprehension, as he just looks the very definition of a centre-half: a head on a stick, which is too far from the feet to communicate properly.

The criticism has a long history and is obsessive - no doubt fans were expecting a Beckenbauer or a Maldini for £70m.

After Maguire scored his own-goal for Ukraine, I expected him to pull up his shirt and reveal a version of the t-shirt Balotelli made famous.

But he shouldn't mind, I have an ancient Sports Argus somewhere, where Bobby Moore is heavily criticised for a poor performance for England, and he became a legend.

Not very much by the looks of it… what an utterly dull and tedious man he is

Yeah noticed during the game. He looked utterly miserable when Villa scored.
