They could be sitting in peace having a beer and they'll be set upon by Russians because they're seen as a badge of honour. Yes they probably started it all 40 years ago and yes there may be a small minority who are up for it. But the reports from Marseille are that the vast vast majority of trouble was the Russians and their admitted pre-meditation of going there solely to hunt down England fans. It's not something that's easily fixed, because how do you shake a reputation? It's why I sympathise with innocent England fans. "Fought back" Are you on drugs????? Middle aged men were hunted down in packs, chased, beaten to a pulp and left unconscious. They had done nothing wrong other than to be enjoying the atmosphere. Please point us to any videos where English are fighting before attempting to re-write history. The chairman of the FA has come out today and stated that English fans need protecting. Can you read? I said some English fans have caused trouble - which is why arrests have been made. I also said English fans have been attacked unprovoked. Have you seen the video of English fans in the seated area, no chanting, not even loud talking. Just sitting there, before a group of Marseille ultras show up and begin throwing chairs at them.
