I still don't know why they just didnt agree to a confirmatory referendum several months ago.  Anything is better than this shite.

The Brexiteers are terrified that giving the people a second vote will see the vote overturned and they are too keen for it to go ahead to consider it.

Fantastic sedentary intervention on Hoey:

Hoey: Our side will/may be in power one day...

Unknown voice (opposition bench voice): Your side?

Yes, many of us opposed her being imposed on the local party in the first place.

We were right, and the blairites who imposed her on us were wrong.

The point of these obscure procedures is to avoid conflict in the streets.

I fear they may fail in their aim.

I thought that filibustering in the Lords was very difficult as interventions could bring about votes on the amendments?

Edit: A quick read would suggest that my assumption isn't correct.

I think you're right that the rules on filibustering are different between the houses, but I'm not clear on the difference.  The time requirements may be different as well.  I'm not sure what it means for the passage of this bill.

I know VT loves a prediction...

Who will win the vote? Go.

Bonus point, by how many votes.

The motion will win by three votes.

Edit: That's my punt and not my desire or even my considered view (my actual view is that it'll somehow lose by five).
