Driscoll has said nothing along these lines - Loach has said a few things - but and I hate to say this, but you cannot have a situation where the director of Kes and other good quality films which highlight the plight of the british working class, is directly being targeted and folks are trying to get him shut down. That will be resisted.

I was referring to Loach.

Driscoll is as far as I know the only one who’s claiming this is happening due to infighting over antisemitism. No one else has said so. Except for the usual suspects that is.

You’re right about the KL link claim, I can’t find it from anyone on the selection side, the centrist arm of the party. So yes, because the selection process included a secret criteria, we don’t know he was cancelled for platform sharing. Leaving it open to speculation which either means it was true, or leaves a little risk hanging there for others that might share a stage with someone on the naughty list.

He was of course supported by John McDonnell and Momentum when he ran to be mayor, so perhaps it was actually those associations that rule individuals out of future Labour politics.

Tricky time to be a socialist.

Can I also point out that Jews in the north east are fatigued by this slurring in their name - it's not what their mayor has said, it's what Labour HQ have done in their name. I see some willfull ignoring of fellow jews - perhaps THAT is the problem here. ANTISEMITE!!!!

All of them, or some? The Jews in the north east? How many have you asked?

The ones who wrote a letter. Possibly the ones who are embarrassed by this crap. This drive by god knows who is attempting to blackball Ken Loach. If you come for Ken Loach then you are ignoring the culture of this country - you are making a bad play - go for it but you will find animosity mostly because you didn't understand your target.

Again, do you know what Loach has said?

I'm not going for him. I am not blackballing him. You were saying the Jews in the north east, implying all of them. You haven't said how many just that some, an unnamed figure have written a letter.

A group of "concerned Jewish residents" have distanced themselves from the exclusion of a mayor from standing in the North East mayoral election.

I posted a bloody link with TWELVE jewish people published on that Jew hindering website - the BBC - are they crazy lefties? How do you want to undermine them?

Calm down. I assumed that as you said Jews broadly it would be more than the number of a moderately well attended children's party. I undermine no one, I never think a small group is representative that's all. Unless it falls into my way of thinking, you appear to be the same.

Do you live in the north east? Do you dismiss their fears? Are you certain that their fears are being misrepresented?

And equally what do you think of Ken's films? Are you in a union? Can you see a point in a union?

What’s that got to do with Ken’s antisemitism? As said before in this thread by others, Ken has a habit of saying things that are considered racist by the standards that Driscoll himself said he is on board with.

Give me Ken’s greatest AS hits then - quotes - not interpretations.

Labour could do with repeating Gordon Brown's idea of reinforced federalism - I know they are doing well in Scotland at present, cos SNP implosion, but they could absolutely take the nationalist's wind away by offering Scotland increased devolution. Doubt they will do that, if they don't have to.
