But its a mon story really as she stays as deputy shadow leader

He can't sack her as Deputy Leader, the party elected her.

She's sacked as campaign chief and party chair, 2 big roles.

If this happens then he's basically sacking anyone who's ever had anything to do with Corbyn and replacing them with people who were openly hostile to Corbyn.

So he's learned f all from the last 2 days.

erm did you read what you posted? Dodds, Nandy and Ashworth were hardly Corbynites. Thats 3 of the 4 named as being demoted

You'd have to think that one was completely justified surely?

I've no idea. I've read that she was given nothing to do.

If the role had proper remit and she had full autonomy (e.g. don't parachute a full on remainer into a leave seat, let the CLP choose their candidate, not allow Starmer near Hartlepool, etc) then yeah she did a poor job.

They served in Corbyn's shadow cabinet or were high profile during the 2015-2019 years.

Dodds is known as soft left and was McDonnell's protege.

Ashworth and Nick Brown were high profile shadow ministers in Corbyn's shadow cabinet.

Nandy, yeah, that's maybe because she's not very good.

You cant seriously be suggesting that this is the reason he's getting rid of them... it's demented

Dodds is no Corbynite, she supported Yvette Cooper in 2015

Ashworth who was joking when he said he didnt believe Labour could win under Corbyn

Nandy.... well no just no

He's not sacking them because they were in a Corbyn cabinet.

I would imagine he's getting rid of Dodds because even I, someone who takes an interest, only just remembered she's Shadow Chancellor, she's just got zero penetration

Maybe the exact same thing could be said for Ashworth too and given were in the midst of a global pandemic and the Shadow Health Sec is hiding in the broom cupboard with the Shadow Chancellor

Nandy, she's getting sacked hopefully because he recognises she;s an idiot and he only offered a position for unity after his election

I really don't know about Brown but he has been chief Whip for some time now, nearly 5 years, that a decent length of time in the job

Now that Labour only has 199 MPs, a leadership election will be called if any MP gets 40 MPs to nominate them. Any left MP would win because the members elect them.

The Socialist Campaign Group has 36 MPs...

The death spiral Labour is diving into, because they do not have a clue, is quite an incredible thing to watch in real time. It is a fireball of doom that is speeding up.

And then there is this-

Foooooooooooooooooooooooooked

I don't think that's likely to happen in the immediate future, but it probably wasn't a brilliant idea to give people a high-profile figure with a grievance to rally around, especially when there's another potentially tricky by-election coming up shortly. If they end up losing that too (I don't think they will), then it would put Starmer in significant danger.

Shhh, don't mention this but he was brought up in a council flat and went to a comprehensive school. it's just that earlier people were suggesting you you know, it was a purge of the working class....
