sexbelowsound Posted June 14, 2015 Share Posted June 14, 2015 To be fair there was probably a time where we'd have looked at Stoke, Southampton and Swansea forums and thought of them as being deluded. But they've all overtaken us as it stands. Stoke and Swansea did it by being consistent and Southampton by careful planning and acquisition. Leicester on the other hand had a freakishly good third of the season which they won't sustain. You have to actually do it over time like the clubs you mentioned to actually overtake a team, not just do it for a third of a season. If this time next season it is as it is now then maybe they can start saying they've overtaken us but not now. Not saying Leicester have overtaken us yet, but if we're not careful they might do, just like we've let the teams I mentioned and a few other teams too. Agree completely. What about Petrov when Lerner was taking over? Richards is on a free aswell and we haven't sold anyone yet, Bent Burke and the academy products have been released not sold. I don't understand how he can be classed as a great signing when he has barely played. I'd much rather sign a more proven player at left back and have Kinsella as back up.
