Yep that yougov one looks more like it to me

You gov tend to work off regular panellists who are rewarded for their surveys

The problem with that is that some people just fill out a survey to get the reward and don't necessarily agree with what they are answering.... They are also not necessarily people that will vote / have voted

The exit poll is as it says on the tin and more likely to be accurate

I hate Gove

I like him , he's clearly an intelligent person and speaks well , I can appreciate he's not everyone's cup of tea though

He would be toxic if he ever became Tory leader though, his spell in education was a warning signing and Cameron finally got the message and escorted him away from the public eye with his other mate Andrew Lansley.

Yeah education damaged him for sure , interestingly around the time when there were rumours of a challenge to Cameron with Gove's name in the frame as a potential leader

He'll have have a big problem doing that as he is not even an MP.

I doubt these exit polls will be far off. They would at the most be 3 or 4% out and that works both ways. The Tories will get somewhere between 305 and 325 seats.

Shocking result for Labour though and even more so for the Lib Dems. End of the road for Ed and Clegg.

I'm not as anti Tory as some but voted for Labour today but the two Tories I despise above all are Gove and Grant Shapps or whatever he calls himself today smugly lying, denying and then justifying all his second jobs.

Next Tory leader will be one of Boris, Osbourne or May I think. Not likely by many but all much more credible and less toxic than Gove imo.

Clegg almost certainly but the article I was just reading seemed to think Ed would stay in charge for the short term as cooper and Burnham aren't up for the job and the highly rated ones like Chuka aren't quite ready

Maybe the return of David M in a year or so ?

326 for a majority, conservative and lib dems again????

323.

If the Lib Dems have been caned that much I can't see the Lib Dems allowing Cleggles to remain as leader. They binned Charlie K just for drinking!

I actually saw Burnham at New Street a few days ago, believe he was campaigning in Nuneaton. Was actually going to go up to shake his hand as I really respect the tireless campaigning he did for the Hillsborough victims which eventually got another inquiry but he went down to the platform just as I was approaching.

Think he'd make a good Labour leader next up.

If these figures are right then I don't think Ed can go on another year knowing he was a dead man walking keeping the seat warm for his brother. It would be farcical and his heart wouldn't be in it.

Chukka comes across well. I don't know if Burnham would be up for it or not this time but he was in 2010. Alan Johnson an outside shot maybe but age against him.

Small glimmer of hope for labour is the exit poll for Sunderland had Tories 2nd but real result ukip pipped them .. But the rest of their data stood up quite well

At least this will likely signal the end for Ed. The Labour Party needs a MASSIVE shake up.

Frankly if this is how it is I would much rather see a Tory majority then go again in 5 years.

As you voted Labour, why on earth would you want to see 5 years of a Tory government?
