What Song Are You Listening To Right Now?

I'm not listening to a song right now.
Still having that crucial first dump were you? 8)

I'm listening to John Joubert's 1st Symphony, which isn't a song either.

You seem to be listening to a lot of obscure (to my ears, anyway) classical stuff.

Given that my faves are Mahler, Vaughan Williams and Shostakovich, do you have any recommendations?

Bruckner, Holst and Prokofiev?
Oh too easy. I can see what you're getting at, but I've got most of that stuff, and I think that Bruckner < Mahler, Holst < RVW and Prokofiev < Shostakovich.

No, I was interested in some of the much less-well known stuff you've been mentioning. Joubert? Wellesz? Parry? (I know his choral stuff, but not the symphonies).

Basically I'm into British stuff. Rubbra, Bax, Arnold, Mathias and about a hundred others. Joubert is South African but has lived in Moseley since about 1950. RVW's great but Holst, wow, everything from the most obscure vocal piece to The Planets.
