Paul Lambert

I'm going to keep supporting Lambert up until the day he eventually leaves. Not because I think he is the messiah and not because I think he is the best we can get but because he is the manager of the club I support and protesting against him or being negative in general is detrimental to the team in my eyes.

Calling for his head now is also counterproductive for a number of reasons and if changes are to come I expect them to take place in the Summer.

I have no idea what this man has to do to get sacked!!! It's gone beyond the point of ridiculous now, like others have said we have now missed the opportunity to get other available managers in with Moyes,Pullis and Pardew all taking up roles with other teams and it looks as if Sherwood may go to QPR.

I have become sick and tired of the club and all that goes with it, I no longer bother to watch any of the games and only look for the results on Monday morning when I come into work, thats how much I dislike what Lambert is doing to Aston Villa, he simply has no place at this club.

I'm not offended by the questioning. Far from it.

The majority of people want Lambert out, including myself, and discuss it and debate it just fine.

But there's one or two (not you) who are taking great pleasure in revelling in it and ridiculing the one or two people who still want him in. That's what confuses me.

I'd genuinely find it hard to revel in it, my club is in pieces and could go down. For me that is a **** disaster and I don't find any joy in that at all.

And like I said, I'm not talking about you.

But there are one or two who are firmly on board the "I Told You So" train. Maybe revelling is too strong a word, but they're certainly enjoying ridiculing the one or two who still want Lambert.

I haven't seen that (honest!), but then I haven't been on here during the day and don't go back to see what has happened. I just join in with the current conversation.

^So I might have missed a point or two.

Richard should be David Cameron's advisor though, the only man to lead the country, nobody can do better. Eh Richard? ;)

How do you know I'm not  ;) if you listen to some on here you'd believe I am his key spin doctor!

haha! :) those bloody last lot, spending all the money, meaning the current guy struggles with no other choice other than not spending where it is needed eh? ;)

I'm gutted you haven't like any of my posts today, you were on a role!

I dont think calling for his head is counterproductive, leaving him in charge is. You only have to look at the stats and how little the players want to give him on the pitch, he needs to go right now IMO

Or that they need their head examined, or that they are undermining those "enlightened" fans and even damaging the club further by not booing, or protesting, or dare I say this filthy word - "supporting" the team, including its manager.

And there have been plenty of posts saying that people who want Lambert out are of "limited intelligence" (a direct quote), don't understand the game as well as people who want Lambert in, are narrow minded or haven't thought things through properly, so it cuts both ways. Passions are running high because we all care about the club.

Speaking personally, the reason I persist with questions for those who want to give Lambert more time is that I don't understand them and I want to. I want to see the positivity that they see; I want to know why they're more worried about replacing Lambert than keeping him. It's not about "winning" the internet, it's about trying to have an impassioned and open discussion on a subject we all care about so we can understand why we care about it so differently.

Where is the "limited intelligence" quote as that is wrong too

Moyes = Was never going to come here

Pullis = the very definition of short termism.  We seriously do not need that as a club and to be honest couldnt afford it

Pardew = Loads on here ridiculing barcodes for having him as their manager and the start of the season betting he'd take them down,  current flavour of the month manager it seems

Sherwood = Not sure if serious

If Lambert goes (and that is a huge IF) then we will get a short term manager or a young up and coming chance.  That's our choices

Well that is what forums are for, for debating opinions. You mentioned in your previous posts about Pulis, Moyes and Pardew all going to different clubs. Do you believe any of them would have come here?

Nope season is not over yet and hopefully we can improve.  I think we will improve and survive but it still doesn't take away from how bad we have been for pretty much half a season.  We have not been inconsistent over the last 19 games.  We have been consistently rubbish.  7 goals, 2 wins, 12 points in 19 games is absolutely sickening. That is not inconsistent form.

The changing of managers at this stage of the season is just the wrong way to go for me. I appreciate that we run the risk of getting relegated with Lambert this season but he has proven 3 seasons running that he can keep teams in the Premier League. In terms of pushing forward though If Lambert has hit a brick wall, which I believe he may have done under current constraints then I think the best thing to do is hope that Lambert can do what he has done previously and then look for our next manager to start in the Summer.

Hold on. Are you saying that because we're missing out on Sherwood, it means we're now going to have to settle for a manager worse than Sherwood? Jesus

And to continue this logic, this manager who is worse than Sherwood is better than the current manager who has kept us out of the relegation zone so far this season, and 20 games ago was given a new long term contract and we all celebrated?

Like I said elsewhere, it worries me that people are jumping on any available manager and thinking we should appoint them.

Just because we want Lambert out doesn't mean we should be considering people like Sherwood, Redknapp and Pardew. Imo.

He'd have been a good short term appointment to keep us in the league.

His glass ceiling is midtable.

Not sure we could turn our noses up at that in the short term. The trick would have been to get rid of him at the right time, which Stoke didn't.

I doubt Pardew would have come to work here as I think in his heart he always wanted to go to Palace and be closer to home, I think Pulis and Moyes would have both come here. I think Moyes would have wanted to show he was still a good PL manager and I also believe Pulis would have also accepted the job too.

As opposed to Paul Lambert's free flowing all action brand of football

I'd love midtable, Lambert's glass ceiling appears to be bottom 5

I won't name names in the thread for fear of warning points. I'll pm you.

And by the way, in the interests of bridge-building: The other day I made a high-and-mighty statement about not having seen any bullying of Lambert In-ers, only for someone steam into the thread and do exactly that. So I'll say it: I was wrong. Now excuse me while I go and brush crumbs of humble pie out of my beard.

After the Arsenal game i gotta admit my first reaction was omg get rid of lambert right now. but then i think yeah say we get pullis in here........omg then people will be claiming compo for the sore neck they will get with the hoofball. what long throw specialist will he buy ??    i don`t want that kinda manager.

We really are struggling but i can allso see the class of players Lambert has brought for peanuts in todays crazy inflated prices. If these players could just click we have a real good team. Really hope Lambert can do it cos he is the one who Brought them here

I allso think the problem is with the players themselves too, they need to give that extra 10% and come off the field fooked, when i played i got fookall money but i made sure i had gave my all and was fooked when i came off
