CarewsEyebrowDesigner Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) Alright, post your favourite/most hated buildings, preferably from your home town (to ensure a good variety rather than everyone posting pictures of the Empire State Building), but not exclusively. I'll start with two of my favourites. Belfast City Hospital Ulster Museum And one I destest Edited November 3, 2013 by CarewsEyebrowDesigner 2
8pints Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) Is that hated or a favourite CED? ...you've made my question look silly with your edit now CED...and I don't need help with that usually... Edited November 3, 2013 by 8pints
Dr_Pangloss Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 One I detest Absolutely disgusting eye-sore, a real blot on the landscape, it needs to be demolished immediately. 3

AVFC_Hitz Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Belfast hospital wouldn't look out of place in 80's Yugoslavia. Love it.
Guest Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 First one is our "new" bus station with "shopping centre" AWFUL.
AVFC_Hitz Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 East Berlin's Palast Der Republik. Sadly demolished now.

NurembergVillan Posted November 3, 2013 Moderator Posted November 3, 2013 Kaiserburg in Nuremberg. I don't live in Nuremberg any more, but when I did I had a direct view onto this magical place. 1
leviramsey Posted November 3, 2013 VT Supporter Posted November 3, 2013 UMass's publicity department chose this view across the Campus Pond, strangely enough... Instead of this view. Though this one isn't that bad, if you like brutalism.

lapal_fan Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 A building built in the 1960s which doesn't suck (imo) I like it, particularly when they had the "all seeing eye" which went round the top. My fave part of town. I love the stark contrast of old and new, past & present I hate New Street Station. It's what everyone sees when they first get to Birmingham on the train, it's ugly, dark and concrete, unlike the Rotunda, it has absolutely no redeeming features of splashes of architectural style, it's just tedious to look at. Unlike New Street, I love Moor Street, it feels so quaint, yet you're in the middle of the second largest city. 3
