Watching the first half of the last episode of Homeland I was thinking it was one episode too far and that they should have really ended it after number 11 but the final half hour was excellent. I do know wonder if the theories about the mole in series one are actually correct. For Brody to choose Carrie over his wife just doesnt make sense................on any level.

So if we buy him for £300,000 we have saved £200,000.

Have to say the HTC Droid DNA / J Butterfly is a stunning looking phone - I could be tempted if it came out in the UK at a reasonable cost.

I wonder if Google will look at moving the Nexus announcement back next year to give themselves more time to get the handsets/tablets out for Xmas...... I see Three can now sell the Nexus 4 but bloody hell they are taking the piss with the contract ...£35 a month over two years (which of course is the most expensive tariff they offer. £25 a month sim only), plus a £29 one-off fee for the phone. £869.00 in total so they are pretty much just adding the cost of the phone onto the contract - no subsidy at all.

Who was offered to us first but we couldnt afford to pay the fee upfront in one hit............tragic.

Sorry Rev but ironically for this thread I missed out IT from the first bit. It should have read if your carrier supports IT the Nexus 4 will operate at a much faster data speed. As you rightly say only O2 and 3 currently support it at this point, not sure if Tesco & Giffgaff will also support it as they piggyback of the O2 network. It will be interesting to get some real life figures from Nexus 4 owners to see how the 2 networks compare speed wise. Totally agree with you on the update front, S2 owners got shafted by Samsung and in the same way S3 owners will too. Has the S3 had the 4.2 update yet?

I can understand that maybe 200 - 300 years ago that running the country was probably decided on political and moral viewpoints, however in the 22nd century surely there must be a better way to do it. As an over simplistic view since the 60's Labour in power, spend more than should eventually get thrown out, Tories come in make life tough to balance books, country gets feed up by the time books are balanced and Labour comes in - repeat and rinse. How is that going to change.

I read on another sight that Tulisa had only sold 7000 copies of her new album by midweek and that was after a pretty high profile on X-factor. Now putting aside the fact she is a chav and I cannot stand her music or the X-factor that figure still seemed incredibly low. Price and convenience will be the driving factor for films / tv series to not be pirated. Make them available quickly enough and cheaply enough through legal avenues and they will sell, charge the same price as it costs to buy in HMV or Sainsburys and Piratebay and their ilk will remain king. I wonder if Sony are happy winning the battle of Blu-ray v HD-DVD at such a high cost (they literally through billions at studios to ensure they signed up to bluray rather than the competition) and its entirely likely that digital streaming will be the winner.

Well watching the Gadget Show last night I was quite surprised how much of a bashing they gave the Iphone 5. For a show which has been pretty much labelled an Apple loving program it was criticised for the camera, the quality of calls, the build quality and the lack of innovation. Most enjoyable.

Popped into the CPW in Walsall on Saturday as my other half wanted a smaller phone as her Samsung Note is too big - only because she is getting an Iphone from work so just wanted something smaller for her personal calls and she ended up buying the Sony Xperia Tipo only because it was one of the few budget phones running Android 4.0. The amount which are still running 2. something is absurd. They had the Nexus 4 on display so had a bit of play with it and it didnt leave me in any rush to upgrade from the Gnex. Dont get me wrong I am sure its a great phone and at some point I will probably bite the bullet and upgrade but as the Gnex runs the same software and it looks pretty much identical from the front the 4 doesnt have that must have feeling to it.

I havenit watched since the episode when the daughter died / killed herself. Its just lost me completely, I want to like it I really do and at some point I will make the effort to watch it but I have zero enthusiasm for it at the moment

Well my wish was granted last night, thought it was a decent episode to boot. The next woman I need to get her top off is Gadget Show Polly............
