Well its been coming for the last 18 months. Awful owner with zero business sense that will cost us our Premiership status. I truly wonder how much the value of the club and his investment will drop the day we get relegated.

I hope that you are right but I have the feeling that Hairyhands is pretty much spot on with his posts. We have very little to spend and we are trying to get two players in when at the moment with what we have to spend and what we are being asked to pay means we cannot buy both.

There have been several posters who claimed we would have been worse off under Ellis than Lerner as under Ellis we would been relegated. As of a couple of posts up just look at the team we had last under Ellis and then compare it with the team that will take to the pitch tomorrow. The difference in ability is as bloody wide as the channel. Yes Lerner has spent millions but how on earth has he allowed so many players to leave the club with very little return. He is not a businessman and he certainly will never be successful in sports. However well intentioned he might have been he has been an absolute disaster for this club.

So Stephens + a CB would be the minimum that Lambert wants and more than the maximum Lerner is willing to buy. What was the name of the people that Ellis used to find a buyer for the club?

lerner should have a long chat with Graham Taylor about how to run a football club. I dont think he wants to put anymore money in and will gamble that there are 3 worse teams than us.

I watched Flight as Denzel normally does make to much crap and for 2/3rds of the film you are pretty much on his side but by the end I pretty much thought he deserves all he is going to get. Watched "The Impossible" last night, very good effects but didnt really care too much about the characters for some reason.

Bought a couple of the cheap rechargable battery packs of ebay (something like 2 for 6 quid) and problem solved. Packs click in very well and is a tight fit so no movement. I will look at getting a couple more at that price.

No optical drive means that all the titles people have at the moment wont be playable. I agree about microsofts desire to go digital download but there is a big difference between download / streaming a hd movie and download 4, 6 or 8 gig of game data. I dont doubt for one second that the next xbox after the 720 will be without an optical drive though.

I enjoy reading your posts Julie and have no doubt that you do get to pick up some interesting Villa / football related facts which you like to pass on to the point where if I am scanning through the forums I would always stop and read yours, however the posts from the last few days at times might have made perfect sense to you but to me have read like the ramblings of someone suffering some kind of meltdown. I hope I am wrong and you are OK.

Time for the current custodian of AVFC to act to protect his investment. If he really doesnt have the financial clout to do this I would expect him to act in the best interests of the club and seek investment from elsewhere.............or he can act in the best interest of Randy Lerner PLC and not dilute is holding in the club. I wonder which he will do?

I have been very much in the camp of being 100% behind Lambert but there are things which have started to jar a little with me which I find a little odd to say the least. On saturday when Albrighton went down, there was no movement of the bench, nobody sent out to warm up. Not one player was called over by the management team to receive instruction, contrast that with Mick Mc on the Ipswich side. I hope I am wrong but that is basic stuff.

Yes Android can do this and can run XBMC too, many of the cheap Chinese sticks on ebay can do this to some varying level of success but they are usually running android 4.0 which all though very similar is not the same software as Google TV. Google TV looks to be as open as Android is with multiple partner involved in producing the hardware. They have announced that several other partners are coming on board at some point this year too. Google TV is probably where android was before the HTC Desire, it works most of the time but the hardware whether from Sony or Vizio has issues. If Google can work with their partners and actually get something to market that works then it may just become something more than a techies gadget.

The downfall is they seem to have taken the Google TV product as a bit of hobby (pretty much as Jobs did with Apple). If they dont take it seriously then it could well fail which will leave the door wide open for someone else (Apple or Microsoft). Apart from your television being the obvious place for people to consume movies and tv shows from the play store which Google will surely want a big slice of, it looks as though other people are looking at this as an option for gaming devices again Google want to make sure they are in there for this too. That is without getting into the other bits it does which are interesting.
