If you look at the players we signed for huge sums who then left the club for nothing in Lerner's time you can soon get to some truly awful figures which would go along way towards the £222 million figure.

Never been a huge fan of TWD but watch it as my other half likes it but even she is getting to the point where she thinks its lost its way. The one point I cannot get over (Glenn being a prime example) is that they have survived this long by behaving a certain way and taking precautions but then all of a sudden they behave completely out of character and get got. Homeland was just outstanding TV, I have had to find a copy of the last episode because I cannot wait until sunday.

Do you think we interviewed anyone else? We obviously started talking to Sherwood on the wednesday (the day Lamberts sacking was announced) to appoint him on the saturday, so was he already lined up?

Lambert was sacked on the Tuesday night or Wednesday morning from memory an Fox gave an interview on cup final day saying he had interviewed Sherwood for over 20 hours over 4 days. We announced his appointment on the Saturday lunchtime. Doesn't leave a lot of time to interview any other candidate or indeed even see who else was interested. For that reason alone he should be sacked.

I think Sherwoods run as manager was defined by the 2 games in less than 6 days against WBA. Had Foster not had a rush of blood and gave away the penalty we would have gone down and who knows if we would have gone to Wembley? In my opinion I think Fox was very very lucky last season as I dont think you can point to anything Sherwood had done that made you think he could keep us up. As has been said by others we havent seen enough of Garde to say if he is good enough or not and its much harder to judge him considering the mess he has inherited. We dont know how well he is doing on the commercial side because we havent been told how much we have been paid for things like our new shirt sponsorship which I do find to be a little odd as if it was such a good deal why arent the club telling us, they have in the past. I agree that we have only been going in one direction since Lerner turned off the money tap and the owner has to take the majority of the blame for this. The football men he got on the board didnt hang around long and were never replaced which has been a big big mistake. If the new chairman & director are money men and not football people then I think we could be in the Championship for more than 1 or 2 seasons.

If he bought AVFC as an investment then he was a fool. If he bought AVFC as a vanity project then he was a fool. He has lost millions but I cannot say I feel any sadness for him, he appointed football men to the board both of which left after a few months, thats when I had my doubts about him. He had planned for us to be self sufficient after 4-5 years and whether it Man City that ballsed it up it was still a bit of a pipe dream. My 15 year old son has a pained expression on his face every time we lose and I blame Lerner for that, he can f~*K of any time he wants.................good riddance to bad rubbish.

Sorry BOF but do not agree. Sherwood was the biggest mistake the club could have made and we were bloody lucky we survived, in 3-4 years time we will find it ridiculous that he ever managed a huge club. He was given far too much time this season when it was obvious that the guy was out of his depth and for Fox to start slagging Sherwood of now reflects badly on him. I dont know how good or bad Garde will be for us but you have to ask were there better qualified manager around who could have come in and turned us around, It appears in both cases that they were lined up for the job before the previous manager had got the sack so they werent panic appointments and since they are both Fox selections he has to carry the can for them. If we go down no matter what else he has instituted at the club he will have failed the owner, the players and the fans and should resign.

Thank Christ Sherwood didn't sign more of his players if this is the kind of player he was looking to sign. Wonder if Lambert would buy him back......

Never saw what some others have seen in him and have said so. Sherwood appointment has killed this club along with the money ball philosophy when buying players in the summer. He will have played a big part in our demise

Homeland was a quiter affair this week which looks like it could be the quiet before the storm. TWD was pretty good although I just don't buy that Glenn could have got out of that alive, and didn't anyone notice that the Spire was breaking apart. Not sure how they are going to get out of that in a hurry.

If anyone was considering Samsung Smartthings I can whole heartedly recommend you don't waste your money. The UK supported tech is just not comprehensive enough with nearly half of the items supported being speakers, no thermostats supported which is a huge mistake. They only managed last week to fix the issue which meant you couldn't add the Smartthings channel to your IFTT account. Pity really

Yes this series has carried on at the standard of the last series.

The first thing that needs to be done is to sort out the problems in Syria so that the people there arent all looking to leave what essentially is a war zone and if that means feet on the ground then maybe the UN will grow a pair. Sadly you can have 100,000 refugees who come to europe and out of the 100,000 one can be an IS member who will be involved in something like what happened in Paris and all of a sudden border controls etc become major issues, whether IS are intelligent enough to work out that by doing this the very people trying to get away from them suddenly become public enemy no 1 is debatable.

There are something's you read that are so mind blowing that they are actually annoying. Was there no law that was being broken by driving around with those weapons. If I had those in my blog and got stopped in Birmingham I would imagine there would be some interviews at the local station followed by some charges
