If yes then how good a manager would they need to be, if no then why did we change the manager in the first place? No I didn't, but what I did think would happen is it would go up every 12 months by whatever rate they can increase it by. That's what happens in most cases. I have not had the letter yet, if and when it comes I will look at what is on offer, i would rather convert to a PAYG rather than sign up for a 12 month contract though.

I am sure Garde won't be the first manager who has had to pick players who he didn't want to but didn't have any alternatives. Many fans wanted Pulis 12+ months ago because he was a strong manager who wouldn't stand for any crap.......I think Beriniho has proven that one wrong.

You do wonder how he would look in a team that has better movement and more of an attacking threat so he could release the ball earlier. Fox and Hollis should be asking Garde what his intentions are at the end of the season, if he is going to walk then they need to get someone who can take over and strike a deal for him to go now. At least give the next bloke the chance to assess the squad over the remainder of this season and work out who he wants to replace them with. But this is AVFC under Fox, we will **** about and waste time and be totally unprepared come the start of next season.

I think whether we want him to stay or not Garde will be gone at the end of the season, he obviously feels he has been lied too and for that he will leave.

The question is really what does Lerner want for the club? If in the summer he wanted £150 + £25 million has that decreased or will decrease when we are relegated? I suspect it hasnt which is why we are now in a holding status with Fox & Hollis running the club without any further investment from the owner. Now if the value of the club is near what Lerner wants to sell for why doesnt he look to refloat the club on the stock exchange? As a club we wouldnt have the rich investors we all crave but perhaps some people who care about the club would be able to make some better decisions on running the club instead of ruining it.

Something stinks at Villa Park from top to bottom. From Lerner right down to the stewarding. Its hard to see any positives at this point.

Is there any point in him being here then? He is building nothing for next season, no plans being made as to who stays and who goes, no identifying of targets. Surely by being this bad the only positive is we can get plans in place earlier than anyone else.
