How many foreign managers have a record in gaining promotion from the Championship? That is the only issue we need to worry about next season.

Not sure what is to be gained in here. He didnt want to stay, the board had decided to get rid, how good or bad he was or could have been is largely irrelevant.

Fox's 2nd poor appointment which has relegated us. Fox, Sherwood and Garde all have a hand in our demise, some bigger than others. I think Garde had had enough, and both he and many of our first team squad haven't got the fight to bring us back up. Things gotta change.

So unless something changes we go into the next game with a manager we know the board doesn't rate and doesn't want, and a manager we know does want to be here and is just waiting for a financial agreement to go. Got to be a home win then.

What is the big risk, how much further would the club devalue? I think he will sit tight for 12 months unless he receives a very good offer.

Or he could ask someone to put together a board with a mandate that the club operates as a business with no further backing from him and when the club gains promotion look to sell and recoup more of his monies than he would be able to during the summer.

How are you finding the Door Sensor? I have the Samsung Smartthings version and its the one bit of the kit that doesnt work well. Motion sensor and plug socket work fine but the door sensor works Ok for a few days and then either says the door is open when it plainly isnt or the door is shut and hasnt been open for a week. The battery indicator continually says its at 88% charge too. Nowhere near reliable for home security purposes.

A Journo on Twitter who does seem to be pretty reliable on Villa stuff said on Monday that they had reached an empass. Garde wants a pay-off or another job lined up while we (the club) are still paying off previous managers so...... Not sure if they thought he was that unhappy in the role he would walk when given the opportunity but we now seem to be left with a manager who knows he isnt wanted, and probably doesnt want to be here but still in the post. Well done lads..............

Sorry it wasnt really aimed at you but it seems to be that Garde has the label of being a progressive manager, I personally cannot see much evidence so wondered if this was more from the fact he is foreign and and not British. The fact that people were dismissing managers yesterday purely on the basis they were British seemed to back this weird opinion up.

Can anyone who is supportive of Garde explain to me what they have seen in him since appointment that makes you think he could get us promoted back up next season as there is very little I can pinpoint from his tenure so far.

How has he done worse? He won 1 out of 10, Remi has won 2 out of 20. We scored more goals per game under Sherwood too

Well we cannot be looking at Besnik Hasi as he isnt English........... Its got to the point with Villa that I dont care if I like the guy or if he will upset people, I just want someone who will do the bloody job and sort us out. Now for what ever reason Remi hasnt / couldnt so he has to go as he isnt going to get performances out of the squad next season even with 5 or 6 new signings. Pearson or Bruce or Dyche or Howe, I dont like at least 2 of those but if they get us promoted I would happily sing their names.

OK Half way through the first half I had forgot he was in the starting line up because he was nowhere to be seen.

Watching the game last night I still don't know his game plan is, we keep the ball but we are too slow getting the ball forward. He just looks bemused mostly. He doesn't give me any idea that he could turn this round next season without buying 8 or 9 players and sadly that's not going to happen. However if he is being sacked and Pearson is to be manager then we need him in the dugout and on the training pitch so he can see who he thinks he can utilise and who we can try and offload. Kmac in charge is acompletely futile exercise
