7 shots on target, 4 off target are what the stats show, but I didnt go so cannot comment how 11 shots equates to loads. We may well have had more threat that day. 18 goals in 22 league games, the lowest in the league. The trouble is once you concede you have to score 2 to win the game and whether its players (probably) or formations (maybe) or tactics (maybe) we cannot do that which is why Garde has had so many draws. Our 2 league wins have been 1-0.

Whats misleading about it?

It doesnt have to be two big men which is why I said 2 of the 3. The Watford game we scored 2 goals and one of those was from Richards (CD) with Ayew scoring in the 89th minute, not sure of the number of shots on target though.

Gestede on his own is too isolated Ayew plays way to deep Kozac may work on his own. I would prefer to see 2 of those 3 playing together as two strikers because I think with our 4-3-2-1 formation we dont boss the midfield, we dont cause enough problems for the opposition defence. Look at how much more of a threat we looked on saturday in the last 30 minutes we had Gestede & Kozak side by side.

So scoring goals hasnt been a problem then?

I think its fair to say he has had a pretty good week but I am still not seeing as big an improvement in our organisation on the pitch, pretty much zero improvement in movement of players for throw-ins or off the ball. Why does he persist in playing our 2-1 up top when it leaves us light in midfield and not enough of a threat in front of goal.

Just looks a little lost to me. Low in confidence so too often takes the easy pass rather than take on the player, and why for our goal kicks did he stand right next to Gestede?

Was impressed with him last night, always tried to be positive and look for a forward pass.

Matthew Version wasn't bad though. Injury meant he never showed his best.

On his day he would be in our starting eleven, just not sure whats gone wrong. Maybe it's as simple as he isn't enjoying playing as much as he did at the tail end of last season. Let's hope he rediscovers the desire to play.

Lets hope he understands that a football club is not like ordinary businesses. Success in not judged on how big our profits are......

Ball to hand not hand to ball

So Randy cannot sell the club so plan b is to run it as a business with as little input (financial or otherwise) from him until he can find someone who will meet his valuation. Sorry Randy but you are not a Custodian of our club, you are a charlatan who is going to dismantle our proud name brick by brick.

Well the longer it takes to sort out the statement the less prepared he looks and the less he cares shows through.

Billy McNeil was given too much time, so was Tommy Docherty. Thankfully Dr Jo wasnt, I appreciate that Remi has really been dealt a terrible hand but I genuinely cannot see how he can turn this round. We still dont seem to have any kind of game plan, he still persists in playing the same failed formation and refuses to even try alternatives from within the current squad. You cannot see where the next win is going to come from with him in charge at this point. Now we would gain nothing if sack him after such a short space of time but then do you let him bring in one or two players to at least show some kind of pretence that he is being backed? The next appointment has got to be absolutely spot on if we are to reclaim our premiership status at the first attempt and my faith in Lerner or Fox doing that is zero.

I do wonder if the above and the fact he is french and we have a few french players was about as far as Fox looked when he was searching for someone to take over from Sherwood.

Did Fox appoint Garde to keep us up or complete a rebuilding of the squad, it simply cannot have been to do both.

Well that signing is a little men. Won't help this season and would he help next season?

When both Fitzgerald and Cunnah left the board it was obvious that Lerner didn't want anyone interfering with his little vanity project.

So sack Garde, take a couple of weeks to appoint successor, window shuts, Randy spends nothing, mission completed.

Not sure about him, he persists with the same formation that has not worked so far, persists with Gestede. What he should have done is make us harder to beat, maybe 4-5-1, who knows we may just have got lucky and won a game or two.

Will be telling to see how much Lerner and Fox let him spend in the remainder of the month?

How bad does Kozak have to be to not get picked ahead of probably one of the worst strikers I have seen in my 40 odd years as a Villa fan.?
