  1. Given how low their turnover would be and the rumours of some players on £60K a week I would well believe that they have one of the worst wages/turnover ratio's in the league.
  2. I don't find it strange at all. Good teams put poorer sides to the sword by passing the ball and creating chances that way. Bruce sets us up to play defensively and counter attack/hoof. It's a recipe for disaster if you are up against a semi organised team who's happy to settle for a draw.
  3. He did well for his two assists though. Left them on a plate.
  4. I have this feeling too. Give them all the ball and hope to nick a goal on the counter, from a set piece or by hoofing it up to Davis will be the plan. Not something a team that wants to get automatic promotion should have to resort to imo.
  5. Well this is a serious test for Steve Bruce and one I expect him to fail. We need a good performance and a win away from home against one of the better sides in the league but there's no indication that we can do either. Grealish should start but I think Elphick for samba and possibly elmo for Hutton will be the only changes. 2-0 Derby, Weimann 33', 65'
  6. Evidently you weren't correct.
  7. I'd be very surprised if they stayed up. They've no money, have already sacked their incompetent manager, replaced him with one equally as shit and have had no new manager bounce whatsoever. Hopefully they go down, go into administration and go bust completely.
  8. There are plenty of people who share that opinion, and I am one of them.
  9. Just another poor performance that we've seen so many of under this manager. You can count the number of good performances under him on one hand. With the money spent and the talent in the squad it's not good enough. Grealish should be in our first XI but I don't think the manager likes him or his style of play.
  10. Not a good day to be Christian Benteke.
  11. We've seen enough poor performances this season to see that if Bruce stays on as manager the playoffs is where we are headed.
  12. 1-0 down and they've scored 10 in their last 22 games. Oh dear.
  13. This. It's baffling the Grealish isn't in the team.
  14. Most of them don't care about the fans anymore than the club's do. They are too wrapped up in the 'best league in the world' hype that's synonymous with the premier league.
  15. Even with all the money they get from the Spanish government they can't afford him. Neymar isn't going anywhere for a few years.
  16. Nope I got it wrong , he's been great! I thought his lack of pace would get exposed because he wasn't up to it in the premier league but in the championship the more direct football suits him down to the ground.
  17. There's far too much BS about "playing your natural game" or "we want to play attacking cricket" floating around the England team. You play the game based on the conditions and the scenario you are in. If that means standing there blocking for 5 hours and not scoring a run then that's what you have to do. Far too many English batsmen walk out to the middle, play the way they feel like playing and give their wicket away needlessly.
  18. Hopefully we can get a couple of good players in on loan that will make the difference between playoffs and automatic promotion. I can't imagine there is going to be much money to spend unless we sell some players.
  19. It is though. They have all the money in the German league and poach the best players from other teams continuously. So for them to be saying that another team is ruining football by throwing money around is rich in the extreme. They've been buying the title in Germany for years and now that they are no longer rich enough to be one of the top teams in Europe they throw their toys out of the pram. Break out the violins.
  20. He certainly thinks that and he's got the (terrible) tattoo's to prove it.
  21. The amount of people that miss this extremely important point about loot boxes is amazing. It's gambling plain and simple. A lot of extremely smart people are working on how our brains work and how to create things that are addictive. The most immediate application of this is in video games. Make them "addictive" so that people keep playing and keep buying upgrades/loot boxes. It's how Blizzard made all their money and why random loot drops in games like WoW are so effective at keeping people playing. When you see an item you want and you buy it you get a little dopamine hit that makes you feel good because you got something you wanted. When you tried to get something you wanted 20 times and then on the 21st time you actually got it then you get a huge dopamine hit because you had to "work harder"/wait longer to get it. The fact that it's random means that your will assume that you chances improve the more times you try (just one more try syndrome). If you know something "drops" 5% of the time then you subconsciously think if I have done it 20 times then surely on the 21st time I'll get it, if not there's an even bigger chance on the 22nd time and so on. In reality of course there's just a 5% chance every time.
  22. Didn't need to be nostradamus to predict this...
