  1. Clippers dishing out a heavy sack beating on the Sixers. Oh me oh my.
  2. Jones, Bellamy, Noone and Zaha against Baker and Clark.. Lord show mercy Bellamy has been shite for years. As has Jones, we're just unfortunate that he's just moved clubs and he's one of those players who performs about three times a season. If we contrive to lose to this shower it says a great deal more about how crap we'll have been on the night than them being remotely decent.
  3. Just off the phone to the ticket office and they have 7-8 returns.
  4. Shame this couldn't have been finalised prior to the registration deadline for tonight's game. With Gabby out we could really have done with having Wes in the squad.
  5. Why is one of the clowns singing Popeye at the end. Not that hard is it?
  6. Saw this thread and thought he was someone we were rumoured to be signing.
  7. Talk of 1 in, 1 out today. Bowery loan to Wolves. Doom.
  8. I've had: Yorke 10 Dublin 9 Mellberg 4 Laursen 5 Angel 18 Baros 10 Agbonlahor 15 Agbonlahor 11 (x3) Think I had one with 'Fast as ****' too - pretty poor decision. Delph 16 (x2) Davies 15 (oops) Makoun 17 (oops) Petrov 19 Benteke 20 A couple of blunders but pretty decent on the whole. Regret never getting a Taylor 7 as a kid.
  9. Living in the north west I know a couple of Blackburn fans & just received a text from one of them: "You seen the rumours about Scott Dann? Can't say I'd be devastated if he left, he's solid enough for Champo but definitely replaceable. I'd be very worried if he's Lambert's idea of strengthening your back 4. Quite a jittery player & an ex-Blue...."
  10. Spoke well in his AVTV interview save for recalling a time last season when he was "benched for having a bit of a wobble".
  11. Same issue as Stevo985. Don't understand the error message it flashes up at all.
  12. I really doubt we're paying Holt more than a few grand - he's hardly on huge money at Wigan You'd be surprised. He signed a 3 year deal on the back of Norwich's good first year in the Prem under Lambert. That was, if I remember correctly, post him threatening to hand in a transfer request because he wanted to move to a bigger club. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18695219) Wigan will have to have offered him a deal nearly as lucrative (if not equally so) for him to drop down a division. Coyle took him there as a marquee signing to play the Kevin Davies role that he so heavily relied on during his stint at Bolton. Terrible manager who did a terrible job at Wigan with this being one of his biggest errors.
  13. Can't make my mind up about Walcott's value to club/country. Statistically he's a very good player in terms of goals scored and assists made but whenever I watch him play he makes some infuriatingly poor decisions. Don't think much of his work ethic, understanding of where to run and when either. If I was picking Arsenal's strongest XI I think he'd miss out.
  14. scored at Southampton home First game of the season and away then aswell Southampton (H), Newcastle (H) and Southampton (A) were the only league goals he scored for us, if memory serves. The first two were both in August!
  15. Only just back Good result, looked very solid without the ball & should have won more comfortably. Benteke was great & gets my vote for motm. Gabby put in one of the strangest individual performances I've ever seen. Had the beating of his marker every time but some of his decision making was baffling.
  16. Tickets available on the day?
  17. Lol at Miami & Baltimore. Don't blow this, Chargers.
  18. Lots of valid, well reasoned arguments here but can't help feeling that they're fairly pointless because Lerner won't sack him. Plain and simple.
  19. No question this bloke is bad news for Cardiff but I find some of the press coverage of the situation to be pretty odd. Danny Mills said last night on 5live that Mr.Tan had "no right to feel aggrieved" about the summer over-spend because "these players are going to keep them in the Premier League". Really? Since when was their survival guaranteed? Mackay & Moody spent £8m on a bloke who has barely set foot on the pitch. He's not exactly firing them towards safety. He also said Mackay was doing an outstanding job. Hyperbole. Quite possibly the most negative tactician in the league on the evidence I've seen so far.
  20. As somebody suggested on the Brum mail website, maybe the council could appease the blosers and have the city's dust carts adorned with blue & white? A fitting tribute.
