  1. Good that fat Wazza, Wilshere and Smalling were all guff - hopefully Roy won't be picking them when it gets serious. Flip side, tough break for Chamberlain. Surely he'd done enough to get a starting nod.
  2. 1. California : Dodgers, Angels, Giants, A's, Padres 2. Ohio: Indians, Reds 3. Illinois: Cubs, White Sox 4. New York: Yanks, Mets 5. Florida: Rays, Marlins 6. Texas: Rangers, Astros I'd guess there are others but I give up.....
  3. Won't be allowed claret names/numbers on the away will we. PL regs only allow black/white/red/navy/gold? Pity.
  4. More of that from Ruby De La Rosa, plz Was disappointed we (Dodgers) traded him. How's he looking post the surgeries?
  5. We are a better 4 day side than t20 side. We have a dreadfull t20 record, only reaching one finals day and that was the first one. Good players, Woakes, Patel, Barker. Evans was good last year but started the season off poorly. Good seam attack and Patel is as effective a spinner you'll find on the County circuit. Could do with Trott coming back in as the top order batting has been very weak so far this season, and wasn't much better for most of last year either. We're pretty poor in the limited over stuff but Ateeq Javid has looked our best player in the two T20 games so far.
  6. I reckon this could be the XI: Cook Robson Bell Ballance Root Ali Prior / Buttler Stokes Jordan Broad Anderson Plunkett good start to the season but no better than team-mate Jack Brooks? Will Gidman absolute machine in Div 2 but 29 already and prone to injuries. Agree with you re Tredwell.
  7. It's not a slim fit really? Just slimmer than the tents we've had for the past two seasons
  8. Brian Jonestown Massacre - Revelation. Came out last month - inspired in parts. Really like it.
  9. I wonder if Will Gidman could be effective at test level.
  10. Hart Johnson Cahill Jagelka Baines Gerrard Chamberlain Sterling Lallana Welbeck Sturridge
  11. He rang 5Live sport to ask to come on the programme!
  12. Attempting a loose Guzan / general American theme. Just bought the naff pink goalie shirt and some keeper gloves. Bald cap and USA flag to complete the look.
  13. Why? Not saying you're wrong just intrigued
  14. **** hell, they got Mcleish on the show soon... They booked him this morning. He hadn't even heard of this afternoon's developments about half an hour ago
  15. Hi all, Anyone who was in the away end at Palace on Saturday who'd be interested in speaking on 5Live at 8.20pm this evening drop me a line. My number is 07500919150 / 01613356055 or twitter is @rmjb08. Want someone who believes the manager should go and that there needs to be a big shake up at the club. Will be on 5Live Sport at the same time as our Midlands correspondent, Pat Murphy. Thanks Rory
  16. Certainly seems to have lost that knack of coming up with big performances/goals when we need them most. Sad decline.
  17. Hope I don't end up on MOTD crying having seen us relegated whilst in a big bird costume. Wouldn't rule it out.
  18. Spoke to a work colleague today who chatted at length with Shay Given during the week. He said there's unrest amongst the players re the N'Zogbia situation. By all accounts he is fit but won't play any part. Sounds as though the players are questioning Lambert's decisions - could that go some way to explaining the dreadful performances we've seen over the past month? Who knows.
  19. Lower tier at spurs is absolutely turd. Crap view and made to sit down by muggy stewards.
  20. Was at the game tonight. Pretty uninspiring from our lads. Graham was probably the standout. The new kid from Southampton had a bit of a mare.
  21. Presumably so, but no matter how daft the lad was, it doesn't warrant lamping him. Apparently the club are 'conducting an investigation', which seems like another Anelka disaster brewing. It's remarkable that the immediate decision hasn't been 'suspend Morrison without pay'. How hard is the situation to parse? Guess the problem is that the manager has little control over, or respect from, the players, and there's a coterie of long-serving players who are basically dressing-room untouchables, but this seems like an absolutely calamitous situation. Odds massively shortening on their relegation after this week. Wasn't lamped for the poor pass, more his behaviour in the tunnel/dressing room afterwards. Told his team-mates he didn't give a **** because they'd all be playing championship football next season and he'd be at a big club. Not a happy camp right now.
  22. Boy does it feel good to beat that lot. Favourite win of the season.
