Good that fat Wazza, Wilshere and Smalling were all guff - hopefully Roy won't be picking them when it gets serious.
Flip side, tough break for Chamberlain. Surely he'd done enough to get a starting nod.
1. California : Dodgers, Angels, Giants, A's, Padres
2. Ohio: Indians, Reds
3. Illinois: Cubs, White Sox
4. New York: Yanks, Mets
5. Florida: Rays, Marlins
6. Texas: Rangers, Astros
I'd guess there are others but I give up.....
We are a better 4 day side than t20 side. We have a dreadfull t20 record, only reaching one finals day and that was the first one. Good players, Woakes, Patel, Barker. Evans was good last year but started the season off poorly.
Good seam attack and Patel is as effective a spinner you'll find on the County circuit. Could do with Trott coming back in as the top order batting has been very weak so far this season, and wasn't much better for most of last year either.
We're pretty poor in the limited over stuff but Ateeq Javid has looked our best player in the two T20 games so far.
I reckon this could be the XI:
Cook
Robson
Bell
Ballance
Root
Ali
Prior / Buttler
Stokes
Jordan
Broad
Anderson
Plunkett good start to the season but no better than team-mate Jack Brooks? Will Gidman absolute machine in Div 2 but 29 already and prone to injuries. Agree with you re Tredwell.
Attempting a loose Guzan / general American theme. Just bought the naff pink goalie shirt and some keeper gloves. Bald cap and USA flag to complete the look.
**** hell, they got Mcleish on the show soon...
They booked him this morning. He hadn't even heard of this afternoon's developments about half an hour ago
Hi all,
Anyone who was in the away end at Palace on Saturday who'd be interested in speaking on 5Live at 8.20pm this evening drop me a line.
My number is 07500919150 / 01613356055 or twitter is @rmjb08.
Want someone who believes the manager should go and that there needs to be a big shake up at the club. Will be on 5Live Sport at the same time as our Midlands correspondent, Pat Murphy.
Thanks
Rory
Spoke to a work colleague today who chatted at length with Shay Given during the week. He said there's unrest amongst the players re the N'Zogbia situation. By all accounts he is fit but won't play any part.
Sounds as though the players are questioning Lambert's decisions - could that go some way to explaining the dreadful performances we've seen over the past month? Who knows.
Presumably so, but no matter how daft the lad was, it doesn't warrant lamping him. Apparently the club are 'conducting an investigation', which seems like another Anelka disaster brewing. It's remarkable that the immediate decision hasn't been 'suspend Morrison without pay'. How hard is the situation to parse? Guess the problem is that the manager has little control over, or respect from, the players, and there's a coterie of long-serving players who are basically dressing-room untouchables, but this seems like an absolutely calamitous situation. Odds massively shortening on their relegation after this week.
Wasn't lamped for the poor pass, more his behaviour in the tunnel/dressing room afterwards. Told his team-mates he didn't give a **** because they'd all be playing championship football next season and he'd be at a big club.
Not a happy camp right now.
