  1. 88% on RT so generally positive. Ticket is booked for tomorrow. I like most of Garlands work, he's always interesting.
  2. Can't wait for this. One of my all time favourite games. Assuming there's a separate trophy list for the ps5 update I'll be going for my second Platinum on it.
  3. Really enjoyed this. Didn't realise until a couple of episodes in that the actor in the main role was the guy that it happened to in real life. Scary stuff, but really good.
  4. First episode is fantastic. As someone who has clocked over 1,000 hours across 3,4 and NV I can confidently say they've nailed the look, feel, the humour and the storytelling of the games, but even more importantly I think even if you know zero about the world I think most will enjoy it. Hope the quality is maintained for the whole series.
  5. It's reviewing very well indeed. Looking forward to starting this tomorrow.
  6. I'd rather they went out of business completely and their ground was turned into a Lidl.
  7. If Ti West manages to land this one, he could have one of the greatest horror trilogies ever on his hands. Can't bloody wait.
  8. I've played with some drummers who sounded like they did.
  9. Just back from... Yeah, as I mentioned earlier in the thread I was expecting the usual soulless cash-grab based on a well know ip. I was wrong. Its a well crafted piece of work that fits nicely into the world of the Omen. Takes its time in building up the different story elements and has an unsettling atmosphere which echoes the mood of the original Omen movie in particular. Special mention for Nell Tiger Free who is terrific in the lead role, and Ralph Ineson who manages to channel Troughtons Father Brennan without it becoming a cheap imitation. If you like the OG trilogy I reckon you'll enjoy it.
  10. Yes, but it didnt matter as I didn't work for the club, I worked for a design agency that created the programmes for lots of Football (and Rugby) clubs. It was my first ever career job and I loved it to be honest, and I soon got used to wearing the hazmat suit whilst working on the SHA bits and pieces
  11. Films. I've got a pretty good general knowledge across all genres and decades, but I'd be confident taking on anyone when it comes to World Cinema, Independent films or Horror.
  12. Third belting album in a row from these pair. Bob Vylan - Humble as the Sun
  13. To be honest, I think FO will have the advantage(?) of being a well know IP. Immaculate was a terrific horror movie, but I would say it would have been mostly genre fans that would have seen it (which is a shame). I'd imagine FO will attract more of a broadchurch (hehe). Either way, I'm looking forward to it now - which I definitely didn't think would be the case
  14. In my own experience, having someone checking in once and awhile and asking me how things were going made a massive positive difference.
  15. Many, many years ago I used to design the SHA matchday programme.
  16. Re. The First Omen... Hmmm, I may have to eat my words if the first batch of reviews are anything to go by. Currently sitting on 82% on RT. Tickets booked for Sunday and I'm quietly optimistic it won't be the cloisterfuck I'd feared.
  17. Finished season 1 of Succession and The Leftovers. Both top tier shows so far.
  18. Get yourself to the Quarantine Shed. (Swift recovery fella).
  19. Yes, quite a few times and they were always fantastic. Side note: At one of their shows I was stood at the back before the band came on, and none other than Stuart Pearce is standing next to me. Me: "Alright Stuart?" SP: "Yeah not bad" At that point the band come on and he belts it down the front where he stays for the duration. After the gig, he passes me by (looking a bit worse for wear) and says "enjoyed that" and **** off
  20. Main difference being Snowflake and Gammon were created as derogatory terms. Woke most definitely wasn't, hence it making me smile when it's used that way.
  21. As I've said elsewhere, I think it's funny (and very, very telling) when someone uses Woke as a pejorative term. It outs the throbbers nicely.
