  1. To be honest, I think FO will have the advantage(?) of being a well know IP. Immaculate was a terrific horror movie, but I would say it would have been mostly genre fans that would have seen it (which is a shame). I'd imagine FO will attract more of a broadchurch (hehe). Either way, I'm looking forward to it now - which I definitely didn't think would be the case
  2. In my own experience, having someone checking in once and awhile and asking me how things were going made a massive positive difference.
  3. Many, many years ago I used to design the SHA matchday programme.
  4. Re. The First Omen... Hmmm, I may have to eat my words if the first batch of reviews are anything to go by. Currently sitting on 82% on RT. Tickets booked for Sunday and I'm quietly optimistic it won't be the cloisterfuck I'd feared.
  5. Finished season 1 of Succession and The Leftovers. Both top tier shows so far.
  6. Get yourself to the Quarantine Shed. (Swift recovery fella).
  7. Yes, quite a few times and they were always fantastic. Side note: At one of their shows I was stood at the back before the band came on, and none other than Stuart Pearce is standing next to me. Me: "Alright Stuart?" SP: "Yeah not bad" At that point the band come on and he belts it down the front where he stays for the duration. After the gig, he passes me by (looking a bit worse for wear) and says "enjoyed that" and **** off
  8. Main difference being Snowflake and Gammon were created as derogatory terms. Woke most definitely wasn't, hence it making me smile when it's used that way.
  9. As I've said elsewhere, I think it's funny (and very, very telling) when someone uses Woke as a pejorative term. It outs the throbbers nicely.
  10. Football. Unless it's Villa I couldn't give a toss.
  11. Hopefully as good as I'm Not There which I really enjoyed.
  12. Got all my equipment and lunch ready for my weekly trip to the office tomorrow, then when chatting to a colleague via Teams, they very helpfully pointed out that I'd booked the day off to give myself an extra long BH weekend. Yes, I'm a forgetful bugger but it was a nice surprise
  13. Saw it earlier. Completely agree with your assessment (especially about S.Sweeney being excellent). Very atmospheric and unsettling and they managed to land the ending which is always nice.
  14. Seeing this tomorrow. Very much looking forward to it
  15. It's...ok i suppose. i agree with many of the reviews that mention the film throws way too many characters and half realised storylines into the mix. I think if you're a fan of the franchise (I am) then you'll be entertained for most part (it's certainly never boring) but I hope if there's a next movie then it's way more streamlined and concentrates on the new characters.
  16. It has 3 difficulty settings so you should be OK.
  17. Weve done this one a few times on here but Butter or marge on a bacon or sausage sandwich is an absolute no no for me. Brown sauce or at a push ketchup but anything else is complete anathema around these parts.
  18. Only put an hour or two into it so far, but its good (and as punishing as the OG) so far.
  19. That's the thing Mike. GoT at its height transcended modern culture. It was the ultimate 'water cooler' tv show and millions were that invested in it. What those two did was an absolute travesty and I can completely understand anyone's distrust of them.
