  1. Yeah, we've done a fair few of the horror themed Xmas movies in our house too. Black Christmas (OG ofc), Rare Exports, It's a Wonderful Knife, Better Watch Out, Krampus, A Christmas Horror Story, The Advent Calendar, The Retaliators and Christmas Bloody Christmas Still need to watch Inside and The Children.
  2. It's already filmed Roberto. It's available on the high seas, but as I'm not a dirty pirate scumbag I'm going to wait for it to come on iplayer
  3. That's the one wearing the crown who does the arrow AOE? Yeah, that was an absolute bastard iirc. I seem to remember I dropped equipment down to the fastest roll speed and used a 2H weapon while dodging under their weapon swings. Not gonna lie, that was one of the hardest bosses.
  4. I still think the first time I beat a certain boss duo is the best gaming moment I've ever had.
  5. I mean, it's not impossible is it? As Dubbs says, you just have to stick with it and not treat it like a normal RPG (there's a reason its regarded as one of the best games ever created). I struggled a helluva lot when I first played it on PS3 all those years ago but once it clicked there is no other game that has ever matched the thrill and euphoria when a breakthrough is made (even something as simple as unlocking a shortcut). I went from not knowing what I was doing to finishing it for a first time to finally completing a 'No Death' run a while ago. I never, ever thought I'd do that (and I'm not a great gamer at all).
  6. Oh and make sure you talk to EVERY npc and exhaust their dialogue. Also, read item descriptions. Both those things give clues to where you need to go and what exactly is going on. The game gives info, but never holds your hand.
  7. You're going to be dying...a lot on your first playthrough. I advise only reversing hollowing to boost bonfires and when you know there's an NPC that you can summon for a boss battle.
  8. It also let's you permanently boost the Estus status of Bonfires which means more healing.
  9. You need Humanity to become unhollow and can only summon help from NPCs or other players when in that state.
  10. As someone who has finished DS1 over 100 times, I believe a first run of the game should be blind. I'm so glad I didn't use a guide and I'm always jealous when people are on their first playthrough. Having said that I'll give you a little bit of advice just to get you in the right direction. Assuming you're out of the Undead Asylum and have landed in Firelink Shrine, take the hill upwards towards the tunnel. Once you see a massive bastard red dragon fly over you, you know you're on the optimal route. Do not go down the hill towards the regenerating skeletons. That's for later. The game does a good job of telling you which direction by how difficult the areas you come across are. If you are getting one shotted, you need to find another route. Also, taking the Master Key as your starting gift can make things much easier. Oh, and keep an eye on your equipment weight. If it's too high, you will be 'Fat Rolling' and that's no good for evading enemies.
  11. Just back from: As @Follyfoot says, it's a very good movie indeed. It's kind of difficult not to compare with the glitz and shine of the contemporary Hollywood film series, but apart from having Godzilla in the title, there's very little in the way of similarities. The main characters have emotional depth, and I connected immediately with them. The story has many layers with a central theme of guilt which is very well done and the post WW2 setting is portrayed with some pitch perfect cinematography. In a nutshell, the Hollywood movies are about Godzilla with a few human characters thrown in whereas this is very much a movie about people which just happens to have Godzilla in it. It's brilliant.
  12. My favourite Xmas film (and also one of my favourite films in general tbh). I once caught a few minutes of the horrendous colourised version and I would happily erase it from existence. Utter, utter filmic blasphemy.
  13. Pailhead (Ian MacKay and Al Jourgensen) - Man Should Surrender.
  14. Kin is very good indeed. I Just need to wait for the second season to come on iPlayer. The actor who plays Frank's brother is the mercurial Francis Magee. Brilliant character actor whose been in everything from Eastenders, Peep Show and Game of Thrones. Oh, and its Aidan Gillan, not Aidan Quinn
  15. Sounds right up my street. I'll check it out tomorrow cheers
  16. Yep, big fan of it and Salt and Sanctuary. Superb games.
  17. Oh they already have. This is the fallout
  18. I have this one: I'd imagine Howard would be spinning in his grave, but there you go
  19. Oh man, that's sad news about Andre Braugher
  20. I've got that very prog in the loft with around 1500 others. Always liked Gibsons style and his work on Halo Jones was fantastic.
  21. My neighbour just chucked some yoghurt and milk up the side of our house. I thought how dairy.
