  1. Would have preferred Callum. Konsa turning into the invisible man everytime we try to build from the back is tiring.
  2. Son sat down next to me during the 1st half and asked why Countinho wasn't playing. Complete no show.
  3. Why were we chucking crosses in anyway. Was never going to happen. Wasn't a heading threat out there.
  4. I don't think I'm ever going to like this setup. We just leaves whole swaths of the pitch unoccupied and move around like U8 scrum around the ball. Looked much better once we got a little width on the pitch.
  5. So, so narrow. How are we so narrow and Watkins this isolated. Everything is far to compact. Spread out use the pitch. Far to easy for Arsenal to defend us.
  6. I bet Steven would have turned to Young if Digne wasn't available or poor form. For me, it was obvious Steven just didn't rate Targett.
  7. Next season will be 5 subs per match. If he doesn't move on he will have a definite part to play.
  8. Looked fine to me. If anything it's the current setup that is holding him back. Can't make those line busting runs when he has to cover for the FB on his side. Made sense with Digne but with Young probably not as much.
  9. Per football reference he has started 18 and played the full 90 six times. I just assumed fitness since Danny does a lot of running off the ball. You may be right as well so I'm not sure. Either way I really hope we implement the 5 subs rule next season. Kinda pointless to have all this quality on the bench otherwise.
  10. Over half our xG (1.1) and our best chance (Buendia's shot off of Bailey's cross) came after the 75th minute. Didn't create much of all in the first 70. Not blaming Countinho, West Ham's low block is very good. They are a well drilled, physical outfit. Just a bad matchup as we are currently setup.
  11. If you do that then you have 2 players in Ings and Bailey who can't complete 90 minutes. Hindsight and all but voting against 5 subs was probably not in our best interest this season.
  12. You need more than one lock picker. We only had Coutinho. Once Bailey and Buendia came on we lost our shape a bit but we definitely started generating some chances. Both strikers got zero service yesterday so pointing the finger towards them would be unfair.
  13. I was thinking 15m but I think you're right on this. Forest needs to pony up at least 20m + add ons or no deal.
  14. A very cold and one sided way of looking at this situation but to each their own.
  15. Keep scoring big man. Will do wonders for the net spend this summer if he can get Forest promoted.
  16. We are talking about generational wealth here. The type of money that can lift a whole family to a higher level of comfort. He deserves til the summer before we start trying to bin him. If this was your kid you would advise the same.
  17. The difference now, at least for me, is that Cash is finishing these moves off arriving late in the box after we have created overloads elsewhere on the pitch. Before he was receiving the early balls miles from the box and having to beat one, sometimes two men before he could put in a cross.
  18. 100% think Emi was talking about Konsa. There were whole games this season that Konsa would only carry it forward if he had no other option. Funny thing though is that when he did it usually came off well for us. He's young and the confidence to make those positive plays will come. Not worried.
  19. Looks like he still hasn't figured out his role in the new setup. All part of him becoming a more well rounded midfielder so I'm willing to deal with the quiet but solid performances.

    Chelsea

Chelsea lose at least £150 million a year and RA wants 3 billion. NFL and NBA teams sell for that much because they are in the green most years. Would be crazy for someone to meet that valuation.
  21. I know it's a hypothetical but if they did it that way they could pay him even more in the States. No cap on the money an owner can inject there.
  22. As many on here stated, Countinho's agent would be a fool to have agreed to a pre-contract that included a hefty pay cut. From the various articles that have dropped recently it looks like the only thing agreed is the transfer fee with Barcelona. Every other option is on the table, including another year long loan next season. The club have to be very careful here. Putting Coutinho on crazy wages for multiple years the wrong side of 30 could destroy us financially if it goes wrong. The fan in me is screaming "SIGN HIM" but I fully understand the caution going into making this decision.
  23. That POTS means nothing. Targett only won it because Jack was injured. You could easily argue Jack, Emi and Ollie were all much better and more important to our team last season. Without a world class winger to overlap with he is a bang average fullback, as most have stated in here. We can either take the 15-20 million Newcastle will pay or be stuck with him for another 3 years. It's an easy choice in the end.
  24. He isn't going back to the championship. Keep him in the squad til we run out of cup games and then find him a top flight loan. He's ready.
  25. Yeah it sucks he can't do his huge, entertaining runs when he scores a wordlie after picking up the ball at midfield. In the end the defensive work he is doing now will only help his game grow for the future.
